This humidifier is cool mist only. If you have children/babies cool mist is more preferable according to pediatricians.

I don't remember ours coming with instructions or not... however, I found online how to clean all of this brand's humidifers online... They're super easy to clean. You just put in some vinegar and let it sit for about 20 mins and then rinse it out. :)

There was an instruction section in the owners manual that came in the box. Also, most of what you need to know is printed on the box itself, at least that was true in my case.

I just got my humidifier and it came without any instruction :(.I know it's very simple to use but i just wonder if it comes with instruction or not..

No filter. Add water, plug in, and go. :)

It doesn't require a filter but they are available & may be a good idea if you're concerned about impurities in the air & mineral build-up, etc. The filters are made by the "Crane" company specifically for the animal humidifiers & are available at many stores, including Walmart for $7.00 I believe.

It doesn't *need* a filter, but if you have hard water, it's recommended to use one. You could just as easily wipe it out with a bottle brush at every filling.

I don't use filter in the unit itself, but I use filter for the whole house and also at the sink for drinking/cooking which is more cost effective.

The filter is optional. The filter is a Crane Animal Humidifier Water Filter.

It is a filter to buy if the water is to hard in your area but here where I live it is not necessary

The humidifier does not come with a filter nor is one needed to operate the unit. I have a Britta filter on my kitchen faucet and I use this water source to lessen the possibility of mineral buildup as we have VERY hard water in NM.

We had this same product but I dropped the container and broke it. We really liked the previous product and decided to get the same one. We are actually impressed that this one is even a little better than the last. Hopefully I don't drop this one :-)

Great Humidifier

We had a blue bear for years and dropped it down a flight of stairs. Amazingly, it still worked for a while. When it finally died, we replaced it with this red dragon.

My son loves this product.
