Multi-Platinum Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar releases his first album since 2000 on Loud & Proud Records. Cosmic Universal Fashion marks the first official release for Loud & Proud, a Roadrunner Records imprint focusing on heritage artists. The title track and first single, "Cosmic Universal Fashion" was written as an online collaboration between Hagar and a young Iraqi rock band in Baghdad. Released via Sammy's website RedRocker.com and already a YouTube sensation, the video was produced in the same spirit as the classic Van Halen video for "Right Now", and strikes a timely chord with November's upcoming Presidential election.
Globally known as the "Red Rocker" (after his anthem Red from 1977's self-titled album), Hagar has led a stories career. From his first band Montrose through his years as frontman for Van Halen to his current status as solo artist with his band The Wabos, Hagar has seen over 20 million in record sales and won 2 Grammys.
