- It's not thick but seems adequate for the job. It doesn't feel flimsy.by Coquettecat5/26/2015Was this answer helpful? (1) (0)Was this answer helpful?
- The glass lid that comes with this item is not as thick as the lids which came on the classic casserole dishes of previous years -- this is approximately 1/8 of an inch thick. This glass lid does come with a very easy to grasp knob on the top. This knob is made out of a ceramic type material and is of adequate size for easy handling . As with any glass item, when hand washing you must be careful not to bang it up against something which possibly could cause it to break. I own two sets of these and I have both hand washed and run them through my dishwasher with excellent results.by TessieAlwaysTraveling11/6/2015Was this answer helpful? (4) (0)Was this answer helpful?
