I needed something lighter because although I love my pfaltzgraff tea rose dishes they are too heavy for me to carry as I get older. I love the correlle. It is pretty & really suited my needs. The size is great for just a sandwich or fruit and cheese for snacking in front of the TV. The dinner plates are perfect size for any family dinner. I've knocked it slightly on the granite countertop on its way to the dishwasher and they did not chip or break. Love them. 07/06/2011
