Rated 5 out of 5★ by LuckymeinCali I bought this Contra Engineered Latex 2000 12" bed and a Signature Sleep Memoir 12 Memory Foam at the same time as I needed two beds for the guest rooms. I decided I would treat myself to a new mattress and move my one-year old Eurotop spring mattress to the guest room. I wasn't sleeping well on my mattress as I am a side sleeper and found myself walking up with a numb arm/shoulder side so I wanted to try a new mattress. I bought these Latex 2000 and Signature 12 Memoir after shopping the local furniture and bed stores in my area and didn't want to pay the high prices. I only had one week to get ready for company and both of these beds shipped in time with regular freight to home so I was ready in time including the day or two for the mattresses to air. The price of two mattress were half the price of just one bed from the bed stores. I am very happy with the quality and the price of both of these beds. What was difficult about buying online was not being able to judge the softness/firmness of the mattress so I appreciated all the reviews I could read. (A rating system would help this for many.) I put the Latex 2000 one on my bed to try it first as it was softer then the Signature 12 Memory Foam. I felt that the latex had a softer more luxurious feel and had less pressure points but still felt supported which I liked with my Fibromyalgia. I also liked that it had the Bamboo cover and cool channeling so I wouldn't get hot. It's been about a week and a half and I really like it. I will see how it is in the warmer weather but so far it's great. My guests report to be sleeping well on my year old spring Eurotop mattress and the Signature 12 memory form. The Signature 12 Memory foam was for a male quest and I felt the firmer might be a better option then two soft beds. I will also try it out after my company leaves and will report back although I suspect it will be to firm for me. 02/03/2013
Rated 4 out of 5★ by melissaarq This mattress was a little more firm than I wanted but I was warned about that from previous reviews. I added an eggfoam topper and its great! My back doesn't hurt near as much as it used to. Would recommend if you're looking for a happy medium between too soft and too firm. 12/29/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by unjunson Advertisement is deceiving. The advertisement for this mattress is deceiving. The video that accompanies this ad shows one man lifting a 2.5ft to 3ft box and taking a mattress out that unfolds then rolls out. The description says it weighs 70 lbs. To my surprise (me being 69 and my wife 68) we found an 80 inch long box that weighed 97 pounds at our back door. It took us over an hour to get the mattress up our two sets of stairs. It took another hour, to get it on the bed, get the three layers of plastic off, get it rolled out and straightened on the bed. It then took the rest of the day and and a handful of pain pills to get us over this horrible experience. If the advertisement had been truthful I would have had a couple of gorillas there to help me. The product itself is very fine and I would recommend it to any one who could lift a baby elephant over his head or had a wife that could. 07/07/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★ by plugger812 Nice Mattress This mattress is just what I was looking for. It says in the ad that it is a Contura 2000. The box it came in and tag say it is a Boyd Specialty Sleep 912. That is fine with me as we bought a Boyd 910 in 2012 for my wife and she loves it. So far I am quite satisfied with the comfort. It had a slight odor when I first unwrapped it but it quickly faded to nothing. The only thing is I found it for less on other web sites with free shipping. But the reason I bought it from Walmart Site to Store is if there's a problem, I deal with someone here, I don't have to mess with it. It's not that much of a difference anyways, it's just that I'm frugal. The frame and headboard brackets I bought were also Boyd. 08/04/2014
