with bare comfort, just one on each side and very small chairs. You can't fit a chair also on / in the ends unless it is very very small and then it is not comfortable for your legs and you legs will hit the person's sitting on the long sides. It is better used for just a small desk or sewing table.

You could squeeze 6 in, if the people are really skinny! Ours accomodates 4 people quite well.

If you were really pushed, you could do 6. But for a comfortable fit, sit 4 with one person on each side

Four is the most I would attempt and that would be tight. I use it for a desk and at one time there were two computers on it (facing opposite directions) and that was a tight fit. If there were 4 chairs around it with 4 people eating, there would not be too much room for other dishes.

it does not come assembled but it was very easy to put together. It would be helpful to have one person to help support the table while another is putting on the legs but I managed to put it together by myself.

no minimal assembly required. Just got to screw the legs on but all parts and tools are included. I am a pregnant female and was able to get this together no problem. didnt even need the directions. itd be hard to ship that assembled and says on the product description assembly required
