Over four generations ago, our founder "Cap" Saurage created our signature dark roast coffee. This special blend is roasted dark to develop rich, smooth flavor with a deep chocolate profile. Our master roasters ensure the exact roast level is achieved to consistently create this deliciously complex coffee that remains a favorite today.

The coffee I rec'd is ground, but, you can get whole bean.

This is ground coffee and works well in an automatic drip coffee maker.

The Dark Roast Coffee, 16 oz, packages that I got from walmart were vacuum-packed and seemed like a brick to me. I did buy some Community Coffee directly from the Community Coffee website. I bought 'French Roast' thinking it was the same coffee that my aunt served me in Louisiana. It wasn't what I remembered and it came in loose -- not a brick. So I called my aunt up and asked her where she got her Community Coffee. I was pleasantly surprised that she got it at Walmart, and even more pleasantly surprised when I ordered online and got what I wanted all along.

I grew up in Louisiana and Community coffee was always in the house.  It's been a tried and true flavor for over 30 years! When we first moved to Florida I could not find it in the stores so I've been ordering it and having it shipped to my home.  The dark roast is our favorite.

Only coffee I will drink!

We have been drinking this coffee ever since we first had it in Louisiana, when we were stationed at Ft. Polk. On our next assignment we couldn't stand 'regular' coffee and starting ordering from Community on-line. It's an excellent coffee, lots of flavor, very smooth. Honestly, can't live without it!

A family favorite!

Strong Dark Roast flavor.  If your not into a strong dark coffee this is probably not your cup of Java .

Ground Dark Roast

Good basic dark roast.  Taste nothing but high quality dark roasted coffee.  No taste of any additives or “flavor enhancers” that other so-called premium dark roasts have.

Community dark roast is my go-to coffee of choice since I was brought up and this is the only thing my dad would buy. So needless to say it stuck with me through the years. I have never really tried anything different because of our love for Community dark roast.
