Rated 4 out of 5 by WaltherPP Great Value This is my second attempt at an air pistol to use for an inexpensive alternative for practicing my hand gun skills. My first was a blowback pellet pistol with the 16 shot flip over rotary clip. The blowback was alot of fun but shot consistanly well left of the target and had fixed sights. After returning the pistol I decided to give the Colt Defender a try. I wasn't really interested in buying a BB pistol, but at the price I thought it was worth a shot. I have had this for about a week and after about 500 round I have been very pleased. The pistol is very accurate, about a 2" group at 20' free hand. I like the look and feel and having a 1911 colt .45 it is a least similiar to one my regular pistols. Drawbacks would have to be the trigger. It is a very long and heavy pull, but does make you concentrate on an even pull on every shot. The sliding grip is a little flimsy and the plastic slide to hold the bb's doesn't seem very durable but treated carefully both hopefully should last. I have read some complaints about the internal magazine and difficulty loading. My solution was to cut some tubing to hold 16 bb's and cap both ends. To reload, pop a cap off one end and pour the bb's in to the magazine. Very simple and not much slower than switching a removable magazine. I have tried both the basic Daisy and Crosman bb's and have not had any issues with accuracy or jamming. So, for an air pistol that is under 60 bucks, in my opinion, you can't go wrong. 03/09/2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by ColPlink PITA to load This gun would be awsome, but the catch for the spring loaded BB feed rod doesn't position the feed rod far enough down to allow the BBs to drop into the feed, so with one hand you have to hold back the rod, and load with the other, or pull the rod back far enough and jam something in there to hold it in place. 05/31/2012

Rated 1 out of 5 by autumnrhea Gun no longer works I purchased this to run off destructive animals around my rural home. When I first received the gun, it worked great, although it was troublesome to load etc.....well now it no longer works. The air cartridges puncture, but the air escapes through the barrel....now I'm out $60....not a good deal~ 12/07/2011
