Rated 5 out of 5★ by LMMLM2 This is the best The best hose I have ever owned! (I had two 100-ft hoses). The lasted 15+ years before failing. They were more than worth the $ in the 90's I will be more than happy spending $ now if the winning formula hasn't changed for the worse—and if it did, you know I will be back! 05/11/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Masso1948 Highly recommended - Best hose ever! I own 2 of the Swan Soft & Supple hoses, 50 ft. and 100 ft. I have used them regularly for over 8 years now. The fittings on this hose are great. They do not leak at the hydrant or when attached to a hose end nozzle. My wife loves the lightweight feel this hose has. I would recommend this hose to anyone who needs to purchase a new one. It's a durable hose and the price is very affordable. 05/13/2013
Rated 1 out of 5★ by George hose NOT soft and supple Have been fighting with this hose for a year, this week it goes in the trash. The old style "soft and supple" hose was/is great, the new version is not worth attaching to a spigot. 80 degrees and still minimal flexibility. 05/30/2013
Rated 2 out of 5★ by wrightme soft and supple I have owned 2 soft and supple hoses for at least 8 or 10 years and recently purchased a new 100 ft. soft and supple hose. What happened to the old style. This new hose is terrible! It kinks and is no where near the quality if the two older ones. Bring back the old formula and again be the best hose out there. Thanks 06/05/2013
Rated 2 out of 5★ by BobL Good product gone bad Ones from years past were great---stayed soft and supple for years unless it was real cold outside (I usually brought them in for the winter anyhow). Old ones also tolerated the Arizona sun very well if left on (very impressive). This made me a believer in their original product! The new ones the past 3-4 years are poor to be kind. I kept getting them warranted due to bad metal coupling crimps, bad hose material (new producer/wrong chemical make up they said) which caused them to blow up (or puff up) under very moderate Virginia temps or they just got hard and tough to wind up WAY before their time. I am sad to see this product go downhill so much for so long, but I have held them to their lifetime warranty and they have always been very polite about it---but their Texas distribution center sent me the old stock which was NOT any better (the old labels was the giveaway). I have 50, 75, and 100 foot hoses, most of which are not used anymore. I used them everywhere for residential use only. My wife hates how stiff they are, and I do, too. We remain very disappointed in their current product, but their prices were always very competitive for a decent-grade reinforced hose. Certain home centers stopped selling them (where I used to get warranties on the hoses that went bad quickly). I gave up probably on my third/fourth replacements of the various hose lengths with Swan. Hopefully, Colorite/Swan in Marion, Ohio will see this post. I have been honestly dedicated to your Swan products for decades because of their good performance, but don't see why I should keep tolerating a degraded product anymore. You cut corners on this product one time too many I think. 06/25/2013
Rated 1 out of 5★ by JoJoSam17 Hose kinks very quickly I purchased this product because it is made in the USA and from an established company. Unfortunately, I was hugely disappointed with this product. The softness and suppleness immediately turned into multiple twists or kinks throughout the hose. Using the hose became increasingly frustrating, as the water supply would be choked off due to the kinks. I hate the fact that this item will now become a part of our enormous landfill. It's so badly kinked that it was rejected as a donation item. I'd probably used the hose about 30 days prior to it becoming a huge disappointment. We can send people to the Moon and back safely yet creating a kink-free hose is still elusive. 01/05/2014
