Diaper Bag of Awesomeness!!! Hi, I'm Joe, and I'm a guy. This information alone makes it hard for me to find a diaper bag that does not publicly emasculate me. I love my little kick-boxer-in-training, so I want to aid in his adventures. However, I would take a pink bag over a Winnie the Pooh bag. I just wanted something plain that doesn't scream "Diaper Bag", merely whispers it.Lo and behold, the Colorado Tote! *heroic music* This bag, compared to those I've previously looked at, seems (gasp) durable AND roomy! I love the little clear bag, that is attached at the top on the inside by a ¼" wide, approximately 12" long piece of fabric, because it just screams "Put icky stuff in me so I can contain the "Ew"-ness and leave everything else clean!" Also, on the interior, it has two, count 'em, TWO mesh bottle pockets. I also discovered two medium mesh pockets (approx. 3½" across, 5" deep, one on each side), and one large mesh pocket (approx. 6" across, 5" deep). And that's just in the main compartment! Outside, there is an adjustable (you know, with the string and push-button string holder) on the side (3" across, 4" deep). On the other side, a slit poscket of the same size sits there. But wait, there's more!On the inside of the outer bag (the part that touches you when carrying), It has a slit pocket with a single 1" long velcro closure that I have dubbed the "Changing Pad Pocket" because the bag itself comes with a complimentary, yet simple, changing pad. And it gets better!My favorite section, the outward facing pockets! The (approx.) 7" long, 4" deep main pocket on this section includes two pen/pencil holders (which come in handy), a 2" long, 2" deep, zip-across pocket for what I would assume is used for loose change, two ATM-sized card slots, and a Photo ID/Driver's Licence slot. On the outside of that pocket, is a 6½" long, 2½" deep mesh pocket for whatever you want to throw in there that will fit. My personal favorite, and last feature on this side, is the snap-button pacifier holder. Could this bag be any better? Yes it can!On top of all else, it has an adjustable strap. However, it is not so adjustable. It seems to have 3"-8" of adjust-a-bility. Now, I'm 6'1", and mom is 5'5", so it works, especially considering my height advantadge is mostly my legs. The shoulder strap is about 2" wide, and has a dual adjustment menchanism. Sound complicted, right? It isn't. It has a 3½" by 1½" piece of velcro on the inside of the strap, and a 2" by 1½" piece of velcro on the strap nub. Is this the only way to secure and adjust the strap? Not a chance! There is also a snap-buckle with a 3" adjustment strap. So, if one form of adjustment malfunctions, you can still adjust it! WOW! Also, the main pouch has dual-zipper technology! What more could you ask for!?This has been another entertaining, yet informative review by the one and (hopefully) only JoJo the Circus Seal! And this bag gets my "seal" of approval! Get it? Fantastic Bag! For those of you that have scoured the internet for the elusive Colorado Tote that used to be carried at Babies R Us, here it is. For whatever reason, the bag is no longer carried as Babies R Us. I don't know why, because this bag is awesome!My best friend registered for this bag three years ago for her son's shower. Throughout the years I have watched her son, I fell in love with this bag so much I already have one for my soon-to-be child.This bag is seriously indestructible. This bag has been rained on, vomited on, dragged on the ground, had food spilled in it, etc. After a good laundering, it's back to new again. The canvas is super durable so this is definitely a bag to last. Like I said, my friend's son just turned 3 and they still use this bag. And she's pregnant with the next kid and asked for another one of these bags because it will last forever.It is a messenger-style bag that is very gender-neutral (the color of the bag is olive green). My husband, who is very tall, loves this bag because the adjustable shoulder straps work for someone as short as my friend (5'3") to someone as tall as my husband (6'6"). The bag can be worn as a true messenger bag (over one shoulder and across the chest), or like a big purse (on one shoulder).There are a ton of compartments in the bag that make it unnecessary for you to carry a purse and this bag. The front zippered pouch can double as a purse; it has the slots for your credit cards, health insurance, etc. and plenty of room for a wallet, cosmetics bag, cell phone, etc. The bag itself holds a ton of stuff. We often take my friend's son for day trips to the theme parks. We can fit 3 full changes of clothes, 10-12 diapers, wipes, a full day of bottles, snacks & food, a blanket, a camera and at least one small toy.I would not attempt to use this bag as your only baby bag for an overnight trip, but this is a perfect mid-sized diaper bag for day trips and maybe even a light overnight trip.I would highly recommend this bag to all! 12/03/2008
Great Diaper Bag! we haven't gotten to use this diaper bag yet becuz our baby boy isnt due for another month, but we love the look and size, didn't give 5 stars becuz we haven't used it yet, but overall without using it this bag looks and seems great! 05/08/2009
Disappointment! This bag has no space for anything! I absolutely hate it! Everything gets mashed into the bag to close it and then you have to take everything out in order to find what you're looking for. I do not recommend this bag to anyone! 10/10/2008
