It only runs on 4 D cell batteries. It is about 10 inches across, and the structure is heavy.

4 D cell batteries - lasted about 2 nights (8 hrs/night) with the fan on "high" and the LED night light.

it runs on batteries. You do realize that is electricity though don't you? It's DC electricity. Direct Current.

It doesn't give off a substantial amount of light but it does give off enough to be able and see around your tent. Unless directly pointed at you, it will not keep you up at night.

No it is not. I was very disappointed with this product. I recommend purchasing a different item. I camp quite often and know a lot about products used for camping. This one I do not recommend. I own a O2 COOL fan and light (www.o2-cool.com) that I absolutely love. The only down fall is that you cant hang it from the ceiling. I havent looked recently (have owned mine for 2 yrs) but maybe they have come up with one.

I don't think the light would be strong enough to light a family size tent. I was in a very small 2 person tent with low ceiling and it was fine.

Not really. I used the night light when the kids were going to bed. The LED light is not bright enough to read comfortably, but perfect for changing or getting situated in the tent.

My first use was in a family size tent and it did illuminate the tent; wasn't extremely bright but shed enough light to see enough.

It will light up a Family Sized tent enough so you don't trip over anything, but not if you're wanting to search through a bag or read.

I would say yes, but it really depends on how many wind absorbing obstructions are in there too. I was very impressed with the power of this fan.

We had two air mattresses next to each other and both people were able to obtain enough air flow from the single fan. I wouldn't say that its powerful enough to circulate enough air through the entire tent.

Will depend on the size of your tent. With a taller tent would have a better chance of getting air circulated throughout.

My tent is 10'x12' and it did a pretty good job this past weekend (in Florida heat and humidity). Not strong enough to blow things around but you can feel it and it certainly makes a difference! I'm sure two would be even better!

We had an 8 person tent. While it works really well for those sleeping directly under it, it did circulate air through the tent OK. By far better than without it.

It depends on how large your tent is. Ours is 9or 10 ft by 16ft with a divider down the middle. It worked fine on the half we use for sleeping.

I agree with BIGNDNCAMPER The fan does not move that much air for the 2 speeds it has and it has very small fan blades. Needless to say I will not buy this again and would recommend others not too buy one at all.

No, the fan is not very strong. It's more suited for cooling directly below it.

Doesn't circulate air - blades are made of foam and while it does provide good white noise, it doesn't produce any air circulation.
