    Item Description

Your entire hiking group will sleep protected from the weather inside a Coleman Hooligan 3-Person Tent with full rainfly. The lightweight, two-pole design is easy to carry and quick to set up. The three-season, three-person tent is designed for most conditions — mild to harsh — backpackers are sure to encounter. A fully-covered vestibule helps keep the inside of the tent clean by allowing for dry entry and blocking the wind around the door. When the weather is warm, take the rainfly off to enjoy the incredible ventilation from the mesh inner tent. Insta-Clip Pole Attachments stand up to high wind and the WeatherTec System's patented welded floors and inverted protected seams help ensure you stay dry.

Coleman Hooligan 3-Person 3-Season Backpacking Tent:

    Rated 3.8 out of 5★ by 10reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5★ by The Hooligan met all my neds for a 3 season tent The Hooligan met all my needs for a three season tent and took the wind and rain without failing. I would recommend this tent for spring, summer and early fall adventures in the woods. It slept two adults in comfort and was light wieght and easy to pack in our vehicle for travel. The tent is user friendly in setting up camp and breaking camp. 10/11/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Good tent, too heavy for hiking Roomy tent with good vestibule. Very heavy for hiking. Quality is good, but not great. We have about 10 of these in our Scout Troop and in the first year we've had a couple of zipper issues and multiple holes in the floor. Zipper issue are quality based, which Coleman customer support was great. Holes in the floor were inexperienced Scouts. 03/11/2013
Rated 3 out of 5★ by Coleman Hooligan 3 - Not exactly as advertised This is not a negative review - deficiencies must be reported to avoid buyer disappointment.Tent is of acceptable quality for price - lives up to Coleman reputation. It is roomy enough for a queen size airbed (no more than 10" high or it will hit sloping sides of tent) and some gear with good headroom - very roomy for two persons with sleeping bags. Large single door opening. Vestibule opening is small and low - must crawl in. Without rain fly, tent is very well ventilated - appx 75% of tent body is mesh screen. Does NOT have any interior attachment points for lights or other accessories - this is a major deficiency. Heavy and bulky - around 12lb. Does NOT ventilate well with rain fly in place. Rain fly must be fully deployed or completely removed - NO partial coverage. Did not test waterproofing or wind resistance. SETUP is NOT quick or easy - many stakes and guy lines make for complicated and time consuming setup necessitating many adjustments (particularly due to vestibule) while attaching rain fly - rain fly is difficult to secure to poles by Velcro straps. Setup is labor intensive for a single 6' man - recommend 2 persons for 'easy' setup. Setup must follow strict procedure. Striking and repacking tent is awkward and laborious - particularly with packing the rain fly. Due to the vestibule and lines it has an excessively large footprint. Bright orange color is loud and disruptive. This tent is best suited for weekend camping at prepared sites or for multiple day camps at primitive sites - due mostly to setup labor. It is not remotely acceptable for ANY type of backpacking for any distance. Good for cool weather couples camping or hunting trips. Would use confidently as general purpose shelter. 03/25/2014
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Value and Durability I have bought these tents as Troop Tents and knew going in that quality was going to be an issue . They are very durable so far and with 10 rambunctious scouts I'm very pleased. For the cost you can't beat them .Only issue has been a torn seam at the entrance zipper , a repair stitch was done on site . Very water proof , bathtub style bottom insures no seams to leak . Vestibule is roomy and keeps dirty boots outside the tent . Set up ,done once is pretty straight forward. The only issue is orienting the rain fly . I've just purchased an additional 4 tents for the troop bringing our total to 8 units .Value is the key . 02/13/2014
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Nice tent for Boy Scouts I bought this tent for my son who just moved up to Boy Scouts. We researched many tents online and he picked this one because of the large vestibule. Set up took a little longer than expected because of the rainfly. But he and his fellow scout got it set up and had plenty of room inside for their bags and gear. Tent is bulkier and heavier than expected. Not really a backpacking tent. 02/27/2014
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Good tent for the price Bought this tent specifically for a one person & gear use, but should work adequately for 3 people with gear outside and exceptionally for an adult & kids with gear outside. 2 people tents seem to be too small for 2 people or 1 person & gear, so I went with this 3 person tent. Had plenty of room for me, gear inside, & gear outside. Didn't care for the bright orange color, but Coleman tents seem to work well for their pricing. Would at least be a good visible color for an emergency situation. Fairly simple to put up, but people with no experience will have some trouble. Mainly the outer shell positioning & getting the Velcro loops connected correctly. 15 to 20 min setup time with practice. 1st time will take much longer. The inner shell stands by itself, but the outer shell will only stay up along with the inner shell. Could possibly use the outer shell by itself by rigging it to trees like a tarp, but haven't tried it. Inner shell is a mesh design & NOT waterproof without the outer shell. Could get warm inside if closed up completely during the summer. Also has adequate gear space in a vestibule outside of inner tent. Used it for modern gun deer hunting season. Worked well. Held up better than expected through strong winds and some heavy rain. Planning on using again for an outing in April, so should get to test how watertight it is then. Definitely a 3 season tent, not a 4 season by any means, but will work completely closed up and with the correct clothing/sleeping system. Not completely sure about waterproof as I use a cheap tarp for extra cover, but bottom was watertight. Gave 4 stars due to durability. Durability may be only issue with this tent due to lots of Velcro, lots of mesh, and weak stitching patterns. Would recommend for a tent for occasional use or for a starter tent for youth, not for a hard use tent. Of course the price of this tent would allow you to buy around 3 of them compared to a hard use tent so depends on what you are looking for. 02/05/2014
Rated 2 out of 5★ by not a favorite not good for all terrains. held up to some strong winds but was also down wind from a bigger tent. Not my favorite style of tent. study before you buy it!!! 04/08/2014
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Good tent for hiker, biker. Relatively easy to set up. Vestibule great for keeping debris out of the living space. Well ventilated. Good headroom when getting ready for bed or getting up in the morning. Easy to pack. 05/10/2014
