A few people said they did. But I took mine off each time. It is very easy to do, and I think it will avoid pinching the material.

I would not recommend it! You risk folding the fabric up in the metal and ripping it. The fabric is sturdy, but metal is stronger! Putting the canopy on and removing it is the easiest part of setting it up, so just take those few extra seconds and take it off so it doesn't get ruined.

Yes. That is how we routinely do it. We have used numerous instant and not-so-instant shelters at farmers markets over the past 30 years (over a thousand times setting up and taking down in every type of weather) and find that their frames almost always wear out or break long before the canopy. Three caveats: 1) fold it up slowly and smooth out bunches in the fabric; 2) Don't try to force it into the carry bag with the tarp attached--remove and fold up the tarp if using the carry bag to store the canopy (We don't use the carry bag but simply set the collapsed and folded canopy on top of our our load in our truck--saves precious time and trouble when setting up and taking down at market); and 3) if the tarp is wet as from a rain, open it up when you get home and dry it thoroughly before storing it.

You can, but it will shorten the life of the canopy. I use mine about 12~16 times per year. I have a small zippered bag that I keep the cover

Is it possible to store the Coleman 10x10 canopy with the fabric still attached to the metal frame?

It may be possible for one person to set this up, but it would be difficult. It is easiest with 2 people; each person standing at a corner diagonal from each other. I am able to put it up with my 13 year old son (and probably my 10 year old). 1st- extend the frame (with one person you may want to use a peg and secure one corner into the ground). 2nd- put the canopy top on and velcro the top corner pieces. 3rd- lock the top into place on each side. With 2 people work across from each other. With one person just make your way around to each one. 4th- extend the legs-- this is where it would be more difficult with only one person, but, if you have to, do one corner, then move diagonally across and do the other one, then the other two. It will not be the easiest thing, but it may be possible!

Yes. I just did it, and I&#39;m not the most mechanically-minded in the world. One issue for me was that the instructions are sewn in/attached to the carrying case as opposed to loose. Read it carefully - it says to have two people - and take your time, be patient. I took 30-60 minutes, but I was half watching a football game, too! Spread out the frame, the metal part, do so slowly, a little bit for each corner at a time vs. all at once, and don&#39;t push too hard. The hardest issue I had was with extending the legs. There are red buttons about the size of a finger on each leg that say &quot;Push,&quot; except that nothing seems to happen and/or the buttons don&#39;t push in. There are other red buttons at the top of each leg that have a picture of a lantern on them, but I have no idea why that picture or for what their purpose, but they seemed to factor in when the legs were extended. Honestly, I would tug the leg at the bottom while pushing the lower button, but the leg wouldn&#39;t extend.  A bit of a &quot;red herring&quot; is a pop-through-a-hole button (to hold the leg tight) at the top end of the leg like I remember from decades ago on our old tent frame (snaps in). That never comes into play here! I can&#39;t say what, but something I did finally got one leg to extend, and I think there were 3 different settings; I just heard the click, I didn&#39;t see how. I started at the lowest so as to get the cover on easier. The cover is not the sturdiest material, but hopefully will work for my purpose, which is to block the sun from hitting my sliding door windows and hence overheating my condo during the summer months. Tomorrow will be its first test, though one other nearby window isn&#39;t blocked. Eventually, I got a second leg, then a third, then the fourth. Then, I put the top on, but don&#39;t forget to open the pair of vents first (which probably are of marginal value, but better than not having. They have nice velcro pieces to use on the corners, and all except the last one would go on when the canopy is fully extended, it&#39;s that tight, and there are also two velcro pairs for going around the sides of the frame. I bought the extra stakes, but the ones that come with the unit are probably sufficient for my purposes. They also have the &quot;L&quot; stakes to use with the tie-down strings that emanate from each corner (for &quot;double coverage&quot; or where your canopy leg sits on concrete; I have one of the latter). Hopefully, I&#39;ll remember all of this and will get better at hoisting it up, though &quot;the next time&quot; will probably be next spring, and I doubt I&#39;ll ever reach the proficiency of &quot;Ourtdoors&quot; (3-5 minutes)! I&#39;m thinking that I&#39;ll leave the legs extended to the lowest setting as that was the most-difficult and time-consuming part of this. Good luck!!!

Best to have at least two. One person can, but you could put stress on the frame. Once the frame is bent, say good-by.  Hey, ask for help, make some new friends!

If you have previous experience with these general type canopies - putting it up and taking it down by yourself is fairly easy to do.

If it's your first time owning one, you should have a helper to do the initial set-up and run through the process of putting it up and taking it down a few times while you have the helper.

Leave the cover off and practice with just the frame to start with.

After a few run throughs with a helper - paying attention to what the mechanisms like in order to work freely - it gets easy. These Coleman's are very friendly compared to the majority of others on the market.

Helpful Hint - they like to have 3 of the legs not touching the ground (or at least not grabbing the ground) while expanding the framework. Anchor one leg (stake, stump, cinderblock ...anything that holds the one leg in place). Then keep the assembly lightly tilted so the other 3 legs are free to move. Then start expanding the frame.

Yes it comes with small tent stakes. I recommend upgrading the stakes for longer ones if you plan on using it in high winds or soft sand.

This is My favorite Tent Made By Coleman.

I've been needing something like this for some time now, however, I always assumed a decent one would be too expensive. Not the case with this product. It was relatively cheap, simple to set up and take down, and as an added bonus it actually goes back in the storage bag once you've used it.
