    Rated 4.6 out of 5★by 61reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5★by Good old tripod grill stand. Our family has used one of these for many years. Same quality, size, operation, and it is very handy over an open fire. One thing to be sure to do, is spread the tripod legs well to insure it is stable, and the grill is centered over the burning coals or firewood. If you don't do this first? After the fire gets going pretty well? Those support poles really heat up, and you can burn yourself trying to adjust them during cooking, or after starting the fire under the tripod.Another thing to remember is the metal adjuster should be kept to the outside to make it easier to adjust up or down, and you do have to give the chain a little slack to allow it to slide through the top plate. 07/06/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★by Great! This was easy to put together and for the money spent its great! Can’t beat the price, I was so excited to use it. When I went camping I got a lot of compliments on it. I cooked some beans and meat in a skillet on it. You had to balance it out a little but other then that it did the job. It gets a little sooty but easy to clean. Use a SOS pad and it gets the sot right off. Can’t wait to cook with it again on future camping trips. 08/23/2011
Rated 4 out of 5★by A Tent Camp Neccesity! For the price the tripod grill is an absolutely amazing piece of kit to tuck along with you. Despite my initial reservations given the low price and the cheap feel of the metal the first time I took it out of the box, this little bad boy stood up to the worst I could throw at it and made some great food for my fiance and I. The actual grill, the cooking surface, is much like the standard fare you'd find on any kettle-style grill and the tripod poles are easily adjustable to fit over most any tent campsite fire ring (We used it at state park campgrounds). It did take a little bit of practice to figure out where the best places to hook the chains to the grill were, but after the first night using this it became second nature to keep it balanced. When used as our main means of cooking, the height of the grill is easily adjustable by moving a sliding lever, although I found sometimes I'd have to maneuver the chain itself at the top to get it to slide right, luckily the stand is tall enough that this part of the chain isn't too hot to handle, and allows you to have the grill low for cooking, high just to keep food warm, or totally out of the way when you just have the fire going for fun and warmth. When not cooking, or when we were just throwing tin-foil packets into the coals to cook, it doubles excellently as a lantern hanger on dark nights, and we put our wet kitchen-towels on top of the stand to dry them when the lantern was on.The only downside to this grill is that it's on a suspension chain that swivels, so it has an annoying habit of spinning while you're trying to move your steaks or burger, although it doesn't post much of a problem with pots, or it accidentally moves your food to a much hotter part of the fire than you'd like. I used a pair of tongs to keep it stationary while I flipped and turned the meat. The chain is also a little flimsier than i hoped, one of the links bent out and made it irritating to raise or lower, but a pair of needle nose pliers fixed the problem very quickly. All in all an excellent, inexpensive tool to keep with your camping gear, I use mine each and every time we go out. Apparently it's very difficult to find in-store, although that's where I picked mine up (admittedly they only had one) but for the price, it's worth going for. 07/15/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★by Good camping grill Perfect for grilling over an open ring campfire (i.e. - no fireplace). Tall enough to raise the grill well above a large-ish fire for slow cooking, and can be easily lowered to right on top of a nearly dead one. Grill might swing like a pendulum in a very high wind, but who grills during a storm? Not me; I'd be in the tent. Seems identical to the Coleman product (including the packaging and logo), but at half the price. Fine product. 06/24/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★by outstanding Quick and easy setup. Perfect for cooking my deer sausage over my fire. Couldn't be happier and will last forever. My dad has had one for over 10 years. 05/19/2011
Rated 5 out of 5★by Exactly what we were looking for. It works great!! 03/14/2011
Rated 5 out of 5★by best thing since sliced bread.. this tripod is so versatile you don't need any other grill assy. We have had one for ten years.. the elastic in one leg broke so we ordered another complete grill and have the other two legs for backup.. Wally used to sell this in the store, but now just on line. For the money its a masterpiece... 11/29/2010
