    The CXR825 is the world's most compact high-powered GMRS/FRS radio with extended range. Be prepared for storms and emergencies with built-in NOAA radio receiver. VibrAlert notifies you of a call in noisy or all-quiet environments. Voice-activated transmission frees hands for other tasks. A total of 3124 channel combinations are available when the 22 channels are combined with the 142 privacy codes (38 CTCSS/104 DCS). The radios include rechargeable high capacity lithium ion batteries and a two-port desktop charger. The desktop charger wall adapter can also charge one radio through its speaker/microphone/charge jack.

    Great price and quality. Had to send the first set back. One of the units did not work properly. Seemed like an antenna problem. WalMart refunded the money, no problem. The second exact set works great. No problems. We only use them in a 3 mile range from the house. Cobra products are great, but, leave it to me to find the 1 in a 1000. All in all best buy in the short range 2-way application.IMO This is the third set we've had in the last 10 years and they are heavily used 7 days a week and 10x12 hours a day. 04/03/2011
    Range was not good. They are very well built and work very well. As long as you don't go further than a mile. They were very clear within plain sight of the other person on them, but 5 houses in between and they began to crackle very badly. We bought them for a trip, but I don't think these would have worked cause when DH took his and we kept in touch, He didn't make it a mile away before we lost contact.Returned. 08/07/2011
