Calcium

Calcium
  • Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
  • Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
  • For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.

Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.

For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

Customer Product Reviews

Rated 4.9 out of 5★áby 10reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5★áby Tasty I tried those chewy carmel type calcium candies and didn't like them at all. In fact, I threw a bunch out. Swollowing a huge calcium pill is not pleasant nor can a lot of people swollow a pill that size. Although I think these could be less sweet, they are "gummy" and I found them rather tasty. Two a day is all it takes. I need the extra calcium and I will eat these gummies, so it's a good deal for me. 10/21/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★áby Calcium chews that taste great with no aftertaste! Finding good-tasting calcium chews is not a problem. But a few minutes later, the terrible aftertaste begins. Not so with Citracal Gummies. They are fruit-flavored, creamy rather than gummy or sticky, and do not have an aftertaste! I've tried various brands of chocolate & caramel chews and other gummies that were rubbery or sour. Since I found this brand, I have stayed with it due to the good flavor and texture. Recommended! 11/19/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★áby Good For You! I love the gummies...its easier to go down and into your system! 07/03/2012
Rated 4 out of 5★áby A nice way to get my calcium. I like these. They have grape, orange and a pink one (cherry flavor?). I like the orange best and I thought I would like it least. I like these instead of grabbing a piece of candy or taking a pill. It's a nice little sweet treat. They are more like large fruity gumdrops more than gummy bears in texture. You have to take them with food. 07/02/2013
Rated 5 out of 5★áby great my hate milk but love thesegreat way for them to get calcium 04/15/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★áby Great way to get your calcium Great way to take calcium and tastes great. 03/14/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★áby Would purchase again! Have tried to eat Viactiv for the last 10 years, and always end up throwing the outdated ones (many) out. I have to take four of these a day (postmenopausal) and hard to keep on a regimen. They could be a little more sour for my tastes, but actually use them as dessert when you want something sweet after a meal. Thank you Citracal 12/18/2013
