My parents gave me this circular knitting loom as a gift back in March of this year. Some of the pegs tend to pop off the loom while your using it. I've learned that it isn't a big deal and to other customers , It may seem like a design flaw and heres why, I've found its very useful when your done making your project, you just take out a few pegs and its easier for you to get the object off the loom with the hook and finish it. P.S ~ Since this set doesn't come with a pattern book for different projects, I highly suggest watching videos on youtube on how to use it. And if the pegs popping out bothers you that much, just fill the holes with hot glue and they'll stay in place.

I bought this on Black Friday. I'm new to knitting so getting a set of multiple looms for a great price was a wonderful deal. I started using the green loom to make mittens. Sadly, I used a piece of yarn that was a little too strong with what I should have done and I've bent the knitting tool and broke one of the pegs (plus bent a few more, close to breaking). But I've replaced the peg with one from another of the looms, and I have another knitting tool. Overall a good product, just need to be a little more gentle than I tend to be.

The only problem we have with this set is the pegs tend to come loose during use. Before starting another project, we plan to glue the pegs into place. The looms work very good for making projects to use for winter wear.

First off, for those complaining the pegs "come out": They are designed to be removed! This is so you can remove certain pegs for different types of projects. When you first use it, make sure the pegs are pushed in snug - mine have never fallen out, they fit fine once you ensure they're set in right. Other than that, it does just what it's supposed to do. Once I got the hang of it, I can make a beanie in under an hour. This set will let you make many things; bags, hats, socks, flowers. Use your imagination and do a little research on the things you can make - especially with moveable pegs!

I have been using knitting looms for many years now, and I love my Knifty Knitter looms. They suddenly disappeared off the shelves, so I decided to give the "Boye" brand a shot. On 2 different looms, I had pegs falling out or breaking on them the first time I used them. The plastic they are made of is stiffer and more brittle. If you lose or break a peg, you will NOT get the same results. I have had my Knifty Knitter looms for about 10 years, and none of them have ever lost a peg or broken. I have given quite a few away to people who are bed bound to give them something to do with their hands. I won't do that with this new brand. I hate giving bad reviews, but I am a knitting loom fan since I can't seem to master knitting needles! I do know knitting looms!

    • A. If you use the long loom - the purple one - make three or four rows deepending on the width you want - make them as long as you want - and sew together with yarn. They turn out beautiful and creations are limited only by your creativeness. I've made several and the recipients are overjoyed with them.

    • A. Yes you can. You could knit a regular scarf using a few pegs and when you get it to the length you'd like it to be just grab the bottom row (the row you did the cast on) and join it to the top to make the circle. Think of it as if you where making a brim of a hat.

    • A. Yes, it be nice with a nice medium weight yarn. Use the large hoop and should go fast or the medium for a thicker scarf. Make it double or single layer.

    • A. You can also use the long looms - pick the width you want - make it as long as you like - and the join the ends together with the same yarn or yarns. Using multiple yarns give you an array of other creations.
