From 1963 to 1967 Danny Kaye hosted an Emmy(R) Award winning, top-rated television variety series on CBS. As one of the stars of the enduring holiday classic White Christmas, Danny Kaye became synonymous with the holiday season. This collection brings together two memorable Christmas episodes of "The Danny Kaye Show". The December 25, 1963 show features Nat King Cole and Mary Tyler-Moore, and the December 21, 1966 show features Peggy Lee and Wayne Newton. Regular members of Danny Kaye's comic cast include Harvey Korman and Jamie Farr. Musical highlights include Nat King Cole's iconic performance of "The Christmas Song" (aka "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire") as well as a pair of swinging takes of "Jingle Bells" featuring Danny in duets with Nat King Cole and Peggy Lee.
