Nice, sturdy dresser, but the color is off. I bought the bundle and I love it so far. I think the set is a great value and seems to be sturdy. Our little bundle of joy isn't here yet, so we haven't gotten to use it much yet. The only thing that we are disappointed about is the color. The color of all three pieces is different. None of them match. The changing table and crib are really close in color, so its not a big deal....but the dresser is a lot lighter than the other two pieces. It's a little frustrating, but overall I like the look of the furniture, the functionality, and the value. We did notice that in the instruction book for the dresser, the name of the set the dresser is part of was different, but they had put a sticker over it that said "Jamestown." This may explain why the color is off. 01/25/2012
We ordered this as part of the Set with the crib, changing table, and matress. The dresser is decent quality considering the price, but the color is noticeably lighter than the crib and changing table. Not really anything we can do at this point about the color, hopefully no one else notices. 01/23/2012
Okay, but not wonderful. After months of searching for the perfect nursery furniture for our first child, I decided on the Jamestown Collection bundle. For the price it will do but I do have a couple of complaints. (1) Don't expect that the crib, dresser, and changing table will be the same color because they're not. The dresser is much lighter than the bed, which is lighter than the changing table, which is fairly dark. It's not something that I can't get over but considering I have to look at it everyday it is somewhat bothersome. (2) The instructions for the dresser aren't exactly clear about one part of construction, and my husband messed up twice while putting it together. The build/sturdiness of the furniture is a little better than what I expected, especially since it wasn't from one of those fancy baby furniture department store. Overall this product is good for the price but the coloring could be a little more consistant. 12/28/2011
DO NOT BUY THIS!! My husband and I bought this for our first child as part of the 4 piece bundle. Although the bundle is a good deal, and the other pieces are fine, this dresser is really, really poorly made. I had read other reviews of it and figured it couldn't be that bad, so I got it any way because I wanted a matching set, but SERIOUSLY, DON'T BUY THIS! When we started to assemble the dresser, we noticed that the finish had bubbled up and was peeling off of all of the knobs and the front of one of the dresser drawers. We called Walmart.com, sent it back and got a new one. It was a hassle, but not that big of a deal. The second one came, and it had the same peeling varnish from the knobs, but this one also had a big mark on the top piece where the stain didn't set properly (kind of like a big water mark) and the left side piece was all gouged and splintered up. We didn't want to go through the hassle of sending it back and we figured the third one probably wouldn't be in good shape either, so we called the manufacturer and ordered the parts. After talking to someone at Summer Infant 10+ times over the course of three weeks, our parts are finally, supposedly, in the mail. Hopefully when we get them they won't be all messed up. 01/11/2012
