I think so too. strong enough to hold a Chicago Cutlary Cheffs Knife, a pair of Kitchen sheers, and some large cooking spoons. Check whats real;y behinde the wallboard first. excellent product I have one that i bought last year and bought two more this Christmas for my son when he got his set of knives. Strong magnet but releases easily when needed. Easy to put up... I put it up my self with a screw driver and I'm 65 yrs old! Highly recommend. 01/07/2012
