Great Product Like any tool, proper operation is important. Took a few tries to learn how to handle it properly, but then it is fantastic. Sharpened a lot of Chicago Cutlery knives we had that were totally dull. Tried sharpening them with the sharpening iron and with a ceramic sharpener to no avail. After sharpening with the Chef'sChoice Diamond Hone 3-stage Electric Knife Sharpener, they worked perfectly cutting thin tomato slices without spilling the seeds or crushing the slices. This paid for itself the first time I used it! I highly recommend it. 03/03/2009
Impressive I bought this sharpener because I got tired of getting out the whetsotne to sharpen my kitchen knives. I love knives, swords, and other sharp objects and I'm constantly finding new uses for them in normal life. I have been so impressed with the performance of this sharpener on my kitchen knivs that I've actually ditched my whetstone and I'm sharpening my machetes on it now too. 09/07/2007
LOVE IT This knife sharpener is very easy to use & sharpens my old knives as well as my newer ones. I've been using it forever (10yrs) and I don't notice any dulling ( or ruining of the blades) I'm going to buy one for a gift and noticed the reviews saying otherwise. Yes it's a bit more spendy , but I'm guessing I won't need anything else in My lifetime. I have friends & family that come here to sharpen there knives . :) ENJOY !!! 09/30/2008
very difficult to use Was very disapointed with this product. following mfg. instructions, doesn't give you a razor sharp edge. walmart did what they said with shipping was very satisfied with them. but the product was not what Cheifs Choice indicated it was. I could get a sharper blade with a good stone, for a lot less money. 01/06/2008
