Rated 4 out of 5 by jttw Perfect for a little girl My daughter is 6 and throughly loves this bed. She thinks she is all grown up! It took about 6 hours for my husband and I to put together and the directions were not very accurate, but we only ran into one problem. One of the last steps is to put in crossbars to support the back of the mattress area and some of the screw holes were off. Since my daughter does not weigh that much we simply put in the three screws we could and left the other off. The bed is heavy enough to be stationary but to change the sheets I can move it away from the wall to pull the sheet through on my own. There is a cubby area behind the built in drawers which is where we put all her stuff animals. Another con is the there is about an inch from where the mattress sits and the drawers, desk, and shelves start and that area collects dust and dirt. 05/06/2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by mabrklyn disappointed with product, but Walmart was great My 5 year-old daughter helped picked out this bed, it seemed to have the right price for what we were getting. We were concerned with the height of most loft beds, but this seemed to be the answer to both our space and safety concerns. Plus the reviews on Walmart.com for the most part made it seem like this bed was perfect for us.Then we got it... first of all there are a zillion pieces which you must assemble from directions that could make Ikea directions seem like a piece of cake. My husband and I had to keep reminding each other to keep calm as we tried to decipher the code like instructions. The diagrams were just photocopies that were hard to read or tell which small screw to use because it wasn't labeled on the diagram. So we were assembling, and one screw-like thing broke—and then realized that they only supply exactly the amount of screws you need. No room for error here.We persevered, but as my husband tried to adjust the placement of the bed it would crack! Which meant, we could never move out of our apartment! At that point we decided to cut our loses and return the bed as we realized the particle board just cracked so easily as we were trying to assemble it. Plus a piece was scratched before it was even removed from the box!Lesson learned—we will never again order furniture online. But through it all I have only nice things to say about Walmart's customer service. They really were understanding and refunded our money with no problems. Rated 2 out of 5 by Rugby05 Poor packaging worst Manufacture service Bought the bed after reading all of the reviews with high expectations and was immediately disappointed. There were three boards that were broken and the instructions ask that you do not take the product back to the store but to call them (manufacture)for replacement parts. I called the manufacture and got a voice mail that asked me to leave a message and they would call me right back. I left a message at 2:30pm and had not received a return call by the end of the next day. Since the long particle boards are packaged in a long box with nothing supporting the box but the wood parts you end up with parts spread all over the floor ready to put it together and then have to put it all away and replace the furniture you took out. With the extremely poor customer service provided by the manufacture there is no telling when they will call you back so you can order the replacement parts. You then will have a week or more waiting on the parts if they do call you back. I am very lucky that Walmart has excellent customer service and refunded my money and took the bed back. In my opinion you are rolling the dice if you buy this bed and had better allow a few weeks for replacement parts if you do roll them and have broken parts. I fell that is a very strong possibility until the manufacture beefs up their packaging. Good Luck!!! 11/03/2009
Rated 4 out of 5 by super2234 well... I am 14 and i love the way this bed looks! so nice and stylish! BUT putting it together was a huge problem! It took an hour just to get everything out of the box and the directions were pretty clear...it came in three boxes and the number of pieces is really over whelming! My dad and his best friend (who happens to be a handyman for a living) were both stumped but got it togther after 4 hours over all i am really happy with the bed it is sterdy and good looking and the desk is perfect for my homework and laptop i love it 12/16/2010
