Rated 5 out of 5 by unemployedmom tween storage loft bed with desk, white and pink My 11 year old daughter loves this bed. It did take about 5-6 hours to put together. Some parts don't feel sturdy, but overall is stable enough. We don't push the desk under the bed, we set it in her room. The kids like to use the space where the desk should be and the space behind the drawers for a play/reading area. My daughter loves the shelf, too. It is worth the money we paid. I hope it lasts for a long time. 09/08/2010

Yes, they were relatively fragile particle board as expected but for the money (nearly dollar for dollar on the number of parts - haha) they are great for kids. Surprisingly sturdy! Our seven year olds love them and love having their own little spaces to store things and even hide away. We worked slowly and carefully and, after spending a few hours each day, had the beds together by the third day. Our main issue while assembling was broken cams (very sensitive to over tightening) but we were able to pick up close enough replacements at the local home improvement stores. The beds arrived as three separate - and heavy - boxes and were surprisingly nearly a week ahead of estimated shipping schedule. 09/07/2010

We keep the desk pulled out all the time as she has carpet in her room and it does not roll well on carpet. She likes the little hideout created when the desk is out. Very nice! 08/31/2010
