The part that holds the charcoal simply lifts out and is easy to carry to a container to empty.

Ash pan lifts out through the top whith two handles for easy dumping

This is probably my least favorite feature of Char-Griller grills. To empty the leftover coals after grilling you must wait until they are cold, then remove the cooking grill sections, then lift the ash pan/fire grate and dump the ash.

It is possible (but not easy) to add additional charcoal while grilling by removing one or more sections of the cooking grill, but ash removal from the grill itself can only be done as described above.

I usually wait until the coals become ashes ... just kidding. But the tray lifts up quite easily with a tool provided with the Char-Griller and then you just dump it into the trashcan.

Let it cool completely, remove grates, pick up ash tray by both handles and dump.

The ash catcher is reremovable; therefore, the removal of ashes is VERY easy!!

I'm sure it will be because the coal tray goes up and down and can be removed so that will help in getting rid of the ashes. Haven't done it yet but that's the theory.

yes, all the ashes are kept in adjustable bin which can also be removed easily after you remove the cooking grates. very easy.

The charcoal burns on a floating tray that you adjust up or down to control the distance and heat to the food. After it cools, you just take it out of the grill and dump it. Easy.

Yes, this grill has a "catcher" which pulls out and is easy to dump the ashes.

There is a catch thing you put in the bottom of the pit that catches the ashes. You just remove the whole thing after it cools of course and dispose of them.

They are cast iron. Heavy, but not so heavy as to make it hard to lift for adding charcoal. Once seasoned, no stick and easy to clean

seems fairly heavy duty. its not quarter inch steel, but would be difficult to dent by hitting it.

Just look at the weight compared to similar priced grills, yup, it's pretty heavy enough.

This Grill is heavy duty. I was very surprised at the high quality, actually.

Excellent grill. Installation instructions were not the best,, however I figured it out fairly quickly. It was easy to put together and I did it myself. I highly recommend this grill to everyone.
