Yes, do NOT fall for the Marketing/labeling hype regarding HD with respect to antennas and RF combiners/splitters. The antennas and RF combiners/splitters are the same. HD ONLY makes a differences in regards to the TV receiver and the TV itself.

Yes! I use one to combine a homemade antenna with my outside roof antenna. The Homemade is a copper loop about 9 inches and two blades from a broken outside antenna, I found in the neighbor's trash. The roof antenna gets about 50-60 digital channels with two antennas pointing in roughly north and south directions. The homemade antenna points east and picks up some channels that the north and south antennas do not get. I use the combiner to combine the roof and my homemade antenna. It brings in two or three extra channels, without taking away from the other channels. Note that combining, reduces the strength of each of the incoming signals. If all the incoming signals are strong you will get an excellent combination of channels from multiple areas. If the signals are weak on some channels, they will or may be affected by signal reduction during combining so those channels may have pixellation or static. In our case we live at about 800 ft altitude which helps us get more channels from our antenna. Tv channels transmit "line-of-sight" and therefore reduce at each obstacle between the transmitting tower and your rooftop antenna. Basically, the higher the antenna, the better, until you reach the height of the transmitting tower and there are no trees or mountains or buildings between you and the transmitting tower. Distance wise, we are about 75 miles from southern and northern transmitting areas and we get most of the channels at a 50 to 70% signal, even some ultra low power signals (During evening hours when the ionisphere is lower and contributes to TV received signal strength).

If you are going from this splitter  to a another male connector there are female adapters made for this. What I usually do is use a short piece of coax with female connectors on each end. These can be bought  pre assembled from Walmart.

Purchased this splitter to allow a second modem to be used off of cable TV modem. I purchased the second modem to avoid paying the monthly "lease" fee to the cable provider. The splitter works well and does exactly what I needed. Price was very reasonable.

Works Great

I used the combiner to combine two antennas into one input. Originally we had 8 channels on one antenna and 13 on the other. Now we have 29. Other websites say that when combining signals like this, the signals could be out of phase and combining will not work. I think that what has helped us is that the antennas are unidirectional and are pointed at two different cities at a 90 degree angle. Because of the angle, any frequencies picked up by one antenna hit the other antenna at 90 degrees and therefore do not affect that antenna even though they are mounted on the same pole and are about 3 feet apart. Possibly if the two antennas were pointed more in the same direction they might cause difficulty. This device worked great for us. 29 over the air channels is great. We have every major network.

Great way to combine antennas

I used this device to combine the output of two directional digital antennas to get a solid signal from the two major broadcast stations in my area.  I live about 30  miles from both stations so I needed a directional antenna to get a good signal from either station, but would have to turn the antenna to get a signal from the other channel.  This device plus two equal length coax cables enabled me to get a decent signal from both stations without having to go outside to turn the antenna towards the station I wanted to see.

Combining Antennas

This little gadget may not be on your bucket list, but when you need one, you need one. I cut the cord to my cable subscription and I wanted to get MeTV on the bedroom TV. I tried 3 different antennas, 2  with amplifiers, and nothing worked.  After googling the problem I decided to try 2 antennas at once, but nobody has an antenna combiner like this on the shelf.  Walmart got it to me in less than a week, and after a couple hours of trying various antenna configurations, I found the sweet spot and got MeTV and about 20 other stations I hadn't received before. Note that this can also be used as a splitter to run 2 tv's off of one antenna. Most splitters CANNOT be used as a combiner, but this one can. So either way you use it, it is a great problem solver.

I had 1 antenna on the roof for digital channels. I bought this splitter/combiner and another antenna. I used this splitter/combiner to connect the 2 antennas. Our TV picture  has improved tremendously.  I didn't know what I was missing. I pick up twice as many channels as before and the clarity is unbelievable.

This combiner worked as promised. I wanted to combine two TV antennas into one over the air antenna connection going to my TV. The reason is when I have one antenna I have to point it in one direction to pick up some TV channels and point it in another direction to pick up some other TV channels. In order that I don't have to constantly move the antenna to pick up the desired TV channels I bought the Channel Plus 2532 and a 2nd over the air antenna. I have each antenna pointed to pick up the desired channels, each in their own direction. I now get all TV channels without having to move the antenna around. If you want to do the same thing you have to be careful which RF combiner you buy, some RF combiner's accept UHF from one input and VHF only from another input and then combine them, to do what I do you do NOT want this. You want a combiner which combines UHF/VHF from one input with UHF/VHF signals from another input. The Channel Plus 2532 combines UHF/VHF from one antenna with UHF/VHF signals from another antenna. The other thing is, I was going to order this from Amazon but it was 1 or 2 dollars more, also Walmart offers free shipping if you have it delivered to a Walmart store for pickup, with Amazon I had to pay for shipping, so ordering this from Walmart was MUCH less expensive.

Combines two TV antennas into 1

When  you have TV signals coming from different directions, a signal combiner is required.  This combiner works perfectly.  If you are a cord cutter,  a combiner is part of the total antenna system.  it is very important that you seal the cables from moisture that are attached to the combiner.

My mom has her TV hooked up to satellite and also to antenna so this works great so she does not have to get out of her chair to switch form one to the other. I hooked it up on her TV in living room and in the den also. I would suggest this for anyone one wanting to use both

Works for what I needed

The item worked very well for the first 4 hours, then stopped and would not even let the signal through.  POS, would not recommend this item even to a Democrat in Washington DC.
