As the title indicates, this release pays homage to the longstanding collaborative relationship between Opera Australia and ABC Television. The program in question features two elements that are intercut throughout: vintage performance extracts (culled from four decades of productions at the Sydney Opera House, and starring such notables as Dame Joan Sutherland, Yvonne Kenny and Jeffrey Black) and extracts from a contemporary event, shot in 1996, in which 220 such individuals associated with Opera Australia take the stage in commemoration and celebration of that institution's history. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide.
