Without the brush it's about 5 3/4 wide and 7 tall. With the brush it's about 4 1/2 wide and 6 1/2 tall. The height measurements are to the bottom of the door, so it could be a little more depending on how much clearance you have between the door and the floor.

What size is the actual opening? width and height

We installed it in a cabinet door in the bathroom. I use the clumping litter and there is really no smell. I put one of those stick up air fresher in the cabinet and also add extra baking soda to the litter. It seem to work great.

We have 6 cats and a Cairn Terrier using ours, and the brush is just starting to show a collection after 1 week.

Not sure about odors, but we have ours in our bedroom which is air conditioned to our hallway which isn't and I cannot feel any cold air in the hall or hot air at the opening in the bedroom.

I have a Maine Coon will she fit through the hole?

Very easy to install and looks nice!  My cats love it and I can have privacy & they can get to the litter box!  However, I did have to paint it.  It came as bare wood.  Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase.

Pet hole

This cat door was easy to install on our basement door, looks nice, and our cat has no problem using it. We did entice him with some treats the first time to make sure he would go through it, but he caught on right away. I thought it was a bit expensive, but it is a quality item and the parts all fit perfect.

Great cat door

It is make of a good quality wood and it very attractive. You can finish it anyway you like. We installed it in a floor cabinet in our half bath and kitty now has her own bathroom. It is perfect and no more litter box for people to see.

Love it

This cat door was more than I expected. We use it in our bedroom so we can have the air conditioner on, but the cat pan not in the bedroom. We have had no problems with the cats using it, and we even have a Cairn Terrier (think Toto) that appreciates it.

Easy to install, I only used 2 tools. Easy to follow cut out template. The only problem we have is with the brush, but this is because we have a panel door, and I haven't filled in the gap at the top to apply pressure.

More than I expected

This is an awesome product. Just what we needed for a nervous cat who feared cat doors. Instructions were great and installation took 15-20 minutes. Cats started using it immediately. Brush is an added bonus- I clean it almost everyday because it's full of hair- so effective!

Exactly what I needed to keep my dogs out of the cats litterbox. :)

Works like a charm

smaller home, so no good place to keep litter box out of site. installed in closet door. cats love the brush and the extra privacy. nice option without a flap, my cats would not use a pet door with a flap.

borrowed a dremel from my neighbor to cut bottom of door. quick and easy.

however once i saw the pieces and how easy it is to install i believe something similar could easily be DIY'ed for less. all in all great product though.

great product.

I think the cat-hole is a good product and well built but a little exspenive for what it actually is. My wife and I bought 2 for our house and the cats love them the got the hang of it right away. It hides the litter boxes and keeps the dog out of them which was the main purpose for getting them. They also were very easy to install and don't look bad on the doors. The only thing I would say is that the product says it is for cats up to 22lbs but our biggest cat at 14 looks like if she got any bigger she would have problems getting through it.

It does the job.

This is exactly what we were looking for! We wanted a small inside cat door, not a big, bulky one. Installation was fairly easy, but we found the brush attachment needed a little extra reinforcing. All in all, it's works great

I was afraid my fat cat wouldn't fit thru the opening but it worked out great! It's a little pricey but does the job. It was easy to install and was surprised it was made of wood instead of plastic!
