Great Utility Watch, form and function After a couple of adjustments to the band and setting the time and time zone, the watch has the necessary features that I want. After having to go to Batterys Plus and having batteries replaced, I have decided to go solar where possible. Casio makes a good watch, better than Timex. Value, style, function. 08/23/2011
Good waterproof watch for the money! Bought it as an inexpensive waterproof watch for scuba diving purposes. The tides function is not of much use unless you live in one of the major cities in it's data bank. If you really need to know the tides in your area in any detail you better look elsewhere. I say this from a mariners perspective so if it's just for kicks for you then it works fine. For what I wanted, which was to time my dives, it works good for my beginner needs. The owners manual specifically says not to use it for scuba diving but that skin diving and snorkeling are fine applications. My guess is they do not want to assume any liability with a relatively inexpensive product such as this. It is working for me and serving my purpose, so I am not complaining. 09/30/2011
Perfect tide watch Bought this watch for the tidal feature, living close to the sea you need to know this. Setting the lunitidal setting is easy with the correct information, such as lunar meridian passing, and time to next high tide in your locale, this info is easily obtained on many weather web sites, so counting the time difference is childs play, set your longitude and you got your tides. The NOAA web site is the best place for this information, but plenty of other weather sites supply it. So not being able to correctly set the tide feature isnt the watch fault. I think the added bearing mode is a plus for this watch, but it requires some basic knowledge to set and use correctly. Over all this watch is for the money a great value for people that can understand its functions. Only surpassed by the Casio pathfinder series, but they are in the hundreds of dollar range. 01/18/2012
