This keyboard contains a headphone jack and is operable on six AA batteries. An AC adapter is available separately.

grandson christmas present Grandson seemed to truly enjoy the product and started right up in using all the functions. Product appears to be well made. Could use a package of batteries though. Luckily we had an adapter we could use without the need for batteries. 12/27/2010
Battery Operated Keyboard - really? I realize I didn't buy the top of the line keyboard, however it is for my 5 year old niece & didn't need to be expensive...but it would be nice if it came with a power cord!It is meant to help her learn how to play the piano...a power cord would help that as batteries are not cheap. 11/04/2011
