Bought a 17" laptop, searched WalMart, Fry's, Target and Best Buy looking for a case. Most models were made for 16" laptop. I finally bought one at Fry's but then I saw this one on WalMart.com. It was priced right and I ordered it. It was exactly right - it has storage for office supplies, the charging cord, the cooling pad and the laptop - everything fit perfectly. Would highly recommend it.

I bought this Case Logic 18" laptop case after I purchased a 17.3 case for my laptop. This is definately a much better buy for the money. It has room for my accessories and plenty of room for my laptop. It is also padded well for protection of my laptop. I will recommend this bag.

  • It feels like 1/4"-3/8" dense foam padding covered with ballistic nylon. Has hold-down strap for computer and adjustable area for power cord/transformer

  • The padding seems to be fine. The perimeter of the case is lined with about 1/2" of padding. The top and bottom seem to be a bit less. Seems like the top has a bit more than the bottom. It has two compartments. One main one for the laptop and the other for accessories. Both are pretty big. The top may feel like it has more padding because of the two compartments. There is a velcro strap to keep the laptop secure. The padding seems to be about the same as other cases I looked at before buying this one.

  • There is more padding than those skimpy neoprene sleeves that I've seen for large laptops, but not heavily padded. I haven't had any problems using this as airline carry-on. Most of the thicker padding is along the periphery/perimeter of the bag (the narrow sides and bottom). The wide pannels (front and back) have thin padding, but if you use the bag to carry documents, power cord, mouse, etc., like I do, then those items act sufficiently for padding the front and back of the laptop. Otherwise, you might find the front/back padding to be sparse.

  • Foam, not too thick, but enough. I was concerned about this too. I had just purchased a Sony Vaio 17.5, and I do feel it sufficiently protects the new laptop. easy to get in and out of for airport security too!

  • The sides have about a quarter inch of semi-hard foam padding. The edges have about a half inch of semi-hard foam padding.

  • its padded but not really thick but it is thick enough for everyday use. I wouldent recommend you sling it around... I just purchased one and was alittle disappointed because I wanted it to be more like the higher priced ones but its not its a little thin..the outline of the bag is not really sturdy its not reinforced with like the thick plastic inserts like higher priced one..but its good for the price

what is the difference of these two bags and the two different prices? Is one larger then the 18" as shown? I have an HP 17.3 x 10 1/2 x 1 1/4 that I am having a heck of a time finding a decent case. Travel with the case would be just once in a while. These look good, but which one? Answer: ASAP, please. Thanks Waiting in Long Beach.

  • I have a 17.3 HP laptop and this fits beautifully and accomodates the transformer/power cord in the same space

  • I see two different prices. One for Walmart.com and the other is a "Marketplace" price. I ordered the $30 one from Walmart.com and picked it up at the store. As far as I know they are the same case just different sources. The 18" is very roomy! I have a Toshiba Satellite 17.3 that measures 16 1/2"X10 1/2"X1 1/2" and there is plenty of room. The main section of the case measures 18"X13 1/2"X2 1/2". There is a velcro strap to keep the laptop secure. There is also lots of storage in the other compartment.

  • I bought this bag for my HP 17.3, and it fits nicely, with lots of extra room for accessories. More padding than those flimsy neoprene sleeves. See my review for full details.

  • The Case Logic 18" Laptop Case will hold your 17.3 inch laptop. I just bought it and it is alot of room left over inside of it.. the more pricer one may be a little bit more sturdy that this one but overall I like..oh by the way the shoulder strap is a little cheaply made but its not a big deal

  • I have an Acer of the same size and this case fits great. It has a padded spacer that pulls tight to hold it in place. It would fit a larger then 17.3 but mine fits with the spacer perfect

  • The 18" case is a much better value($31.99 w/ free shipping to your house) than the 17.3($12.88 site to store). The 17.3 is tight when I put my laptop in and there's really no extra room for my accesories). There is ample storage for your accesories and extra space for your laptop. It is padded well and protects your laptop from damage. It also comes with a shoulder strap and it can also hook onto a handle of a suitcase, one that pulls out and on wheels. I think you would be happy with this. I hope I answered your question.

  • After doing some research, we have found the 2nd page that you referred to, in your question. The product offered on both pages is the same. One page is managed by Walmart.com, while the other is managed by a Walmart.com Marketplace business partner.
