Rated 3 out of 5 by jimithy Nice try I wanted a seat elevator that allowed me to retain my current toilet seat. This seat failed because there is a gap between it and the toilet. Various bodily fluids can run down the outside of the toilet and onto the floor. Also this elevator needs some type of clamp because only having two screws in the rear makes it easy to shift to one side or the other. 10/04/2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by CSWH This item is very helpful for those who will be having hip replacement surgery. It was very easy to install, and is great for the person for whom it is intended. I removed the existing seat and placed this one on top of the commode. I then replaced the seat, which is attached to the lid with the long screws and wing nuts included, and tightened them up. This took about 5-10 minutes. No shifting. 11/12/2008

I like it so well, though that I have already bought one for our other bathroom.I really like the feature of being able to use the existing seat/lid combination. For our household this a very big plus.Many other handicap seat raisers have a very small hole as opposed to this one which is the same size as our handicapped toilet. This allows room for personal hygiene to be performed.I would recommend this product without reservation. 12/15/2010
