i have COPD or 20% of my lungs available and get out of breath in the shower...i needed a small stool to sit on while showering...i plugged the info in and found four stools available at Walmart...my favorite store...within three days, i had the stool...10 minutes to install legs and i was ready...i was taking baths and don`t like to wash in gray water, which is what it turns to after washing your hair...the shower is so refreshing, i refer to the shower stool as an investment, not an expense...thank you, Walmart...

I recently purchased the Carex bath seat and was pleasantly surprised at how stury it is and how easy it was to adjust. It is very stable and I feel secure when I am seated. The price was very competitive and the in-store delivery service is a wonderful convenience.

After looking online for a while, I found this seat to be the best buy for the money. I mainly bought it because of the 300 pound capacity, which told me at the time that it was a sturdy seat. However, I was not pleased with what seemed like a simple assembly. The phillips screws stripped easily making it difficult to sink screws properly into the seat. Also the one main screw and bolt that holds all legs together in the center did not want to screw into the bolt all the way leaving the legs wobbly, so I had to use another screw and bolt I had in my toolbox to do the job. After tightening everything securily, I still found the legs a bit wobbly and uneven. I would not recommend this seat for a heavy person.

    • A. I saw that too---but it was not. It is very comfortable. I lowered legs on it more than I thought I'd need---now I feel more comfortable than ANY seat such as this that I have ever used. As they have been coarse on my flesh. Figured I could always layer a fabric of softness or towel to soften it up.

    • A. Mine did not arrive that way. You would need to contact the company that MAKES the shower chair to find out if you can make arrangements. But this is by far the easiest item to assemble.....tightening by hand the bolts may be a challenge for her. No tools required; just plastic turns. Still would want then tight to hold her weight.
