The look of it is passable for my living room but not upscale enough for my bedroom because those curtains are velvet. The living room curtains are linen, so this rod will be just fine. I agree the rod is great for grommet curtains. Overall, I would not recommend this product to a friend because it just isn't that special. However, if you are looking for a basic rod that has a little bit of style this is certainly not a bad one to buy. 11/13/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by singforthelaughter Nice looking and functional Purchased the longer rod in-store and needed the shorter rod for another window...unfortunately, it was not being carried in any of my "local" stores. Receipt time was quick and these are nice looking and easy to install. I lowered the star rating sheerly on the fact that I think ALL the decorative rods are overpriced, regardless of where you buy them...not based on this item solely. 10/16/2012
