They don't, so don't order them if you want all light blocked out. However, they are heavy enough to keep a room cooler from hot sun coming through closed blinds. They are a heavy polyester material, so keep that in mind as well. Overall, after I hung them they grew on me and I'm satisfied with them. They're for a guest room, so I don't look at them everyday. I wouldn't order them for a room I'm in a lot. Very good value for the 95" ones I required. 11/05/2012
