Rated 5 out of 5 by MrsHazz Great Buy! My husband and I are in Korea for the next two years and this was a great fix to a government issued mattress. It stays in place and still fits under a fitted sheet. 11/02/2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by GuruBlond It helps; but not superlative! I have the typical senior issues of chronic insomnia, and joint (especially hip and rotator cuff/shoulder) pain when sleeping on regular mattresses. I own a Select Comfort "Sleep Number" bed, which is better than the average mattress, but lately just not cutting it for comfort. True also for my sleep partner, also: he awakens stiff and achey in the mornings, and has not been getting the quality of sleep he'd like on our current mattress. I decided to get this topper, since I know memory foam is the way to go for "sink-into-it", cradle-you comfort. I wanted a 3" or 4" solid MEMORY FOAM topper~ but for anything less than full mattress prices, could only find the memory-foam/regular foam laminated hybrids, so got the deepest (4" total) one, with 2" memory foam layer, I could find for the price I could afford. I had NO issues with odor, even from the git-go. It was fairly easy to put into its full-length-zippered cover (but pretty much a 2-person operation). The slab WAS shorter by about 1/2" to 1" on all sides than queen matttress dimensions, which is annoying, and a source of disrespect by me for the manufacturer (like, "WHY"???), but it'll do. The slab is not exactly as advertised though: the "2-inch" memory foam layer is not a full 2", although for sure, the regular foam one is!!!! (Like, "WHY"??? again!) It varies from 1 1/2" to 1 3/4". The cut of the slab was slightly irregular, not a really straight line, which bordered on sloppy. And this foam topper is somewhat harder than I anticipated... not providing the sink-into luxury and enfolding softness I was expecting from it ~ even atop my Sleep Number airbed. But it IS a big improvement over our previous sleeping surface, and the memory foam, even though not quite as soft/cushioning as I'd have liked, provides a better sleep experience than any mattress I've had before.... aside from a 8" foam slab I bought from a foam company back in the old hippie days of the 60's!!! I'd recommend it to ANYONE with sleep issues; probably will beat the fur off of what they now have.... 10/26/2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by 3greys thicker MEMORY foam would be better It would probably help my back a lot more if the ratio of memory foam to regular foam were reversed. If I could get it back in the box I'd return it for a better one. 10/25/2012
