Rated 3 out of 5 by Skillet87 it's okay You will need a Shop Vac or similar if you buy this. Assemble it outside, at your in-laws or anyplace you aren't concerned about the amazing amount of styrofoam particles this will generate. It is packed in the cheapest styrofoam and the pieces are highly charged with static. I have vacuumed the individual piece twice and the assembled unit once. It's like a beanbag chair exploded in my den.Assembly is not easy. The interlocking pieces need more than a 'gentle' tap with mallet. This was difficult.It is solid and after assembly it sturdy.There is only one small pass-through for cables. It is the size of a handle on a standard cardboard box. This would be a problem if I had component video. Without HDMI, I would be struggling to get all the cables through this very small hole.There are no pass through holes on the two sides. I would have liked to have put a DVD or a Wii in the sides. Maybe I need a Dremel to cut a hole.I'm pretty sure that the instructions inside the booklet say 'up to 43" TV' and not 47". I was confident going into this purchase but realized it was a tight fit for my 42" 05/15/2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by nuutam75 Finally upgraded to a flatscreen last year and bought this stand to go with it. LOVED it. Even held up to my 2 and 3 year old boys. BUT, when we moved in September it fell apart! Was taking it out the door and all the pieces holding it together starting falling out! Not fun esp since we were carrying it down stairs. My husband managed to stop the pieces from falling down the stairs and getting damaged, but I'm not sure we were able to get it back together. Loved the way it looks and how heavy and durable it seemed, not enthused about it falling apart for no reason. 12/22/2011
