The blinds look like they are a lot more expensive than they are. Easy to install too.

  • A. yes..pull tabs at the bottom, loosen knot, cut to desired length (MAKE SURE to leave 1 blade length longer so blinds can fall right), remove excess blades, reattach string to bottom by tying knots & reattach tabs..instructions are to the back of the installation manual..hope that helps, good luck

  • A. Yes, you follow the directions that should have come with the blind. If they didn't, take a flat head screw driver and pop the three "buttons" out of the bottom rail. Make sure to take the tension off the up and down strings. Pull the rail off and take as many extra slats off that you don't need. You will have a lot of extra string. Cut the strings about 2 to 3 inches from the last slat. Turn the bottom rail over and stuff the strings into the holes, the "buttons" as I call them have guides for the strings to fit in. When you have them where you want them, push them back into place. This take patience and practice, it can be frustrating until you get the hang of it. Just make sure you get the raise and lower strings into the holes as well as the slat strings.

  • A. Yes absolutely. Let the shades down all the way. Take the round clips off the very botton of the rail. Remove as many slats as needed put the clips back in then trim the strings. DO NOT cut the excess string until you know you have the right length. Directions should have come with the blinds. I almost tossed mine as the page was very small.

  • A. The installation instructions show that you can shorten the blinds by taking off the bottom piece and removing the unwanted slats. However, I did not attempt to do this.

  • A. Installation instructions that come with the product show you how to shorten the length. If you want to shorten the width, that may be a non-trivial exercise, and there is no instruction for it.

  • A. yes. there are caps on the bottom. you remove caps, pull strings and untie. Then remove the slats to the desired length. cut excess string (be sure to leave two rungs for reassembling) then put the bottom back together. you can shorten the pull strings at the same time so the final result is neater.

  • A. Sure can!! 1. Make a mark as to how long you want it to be, I marked mine with a marker so I would know my stopping point. 2. At the bottom there are 2 round plastic covers or seals, remove them with a knife, careful not to break. 3. Undo the knot inside the hole, and slide the bottom part out. 4. continue to slide out as many of the "Whatchamacall them" 5. When done place the bottom part on the spot where you removed the last "whatchmacall it" and place the thread back into the hole, pull out a good amount cut and knot it double. be careful not to cut too much. replace the seals back into the holes. cut excess thread from where the "whatchamacall it" used to sit! It is super easy, work on the floor cause they slide out easy!!! good luck.

  • A. Yes, you can shorten them very easily by untieing the bottom rail, removing your extra slats, placing the rail on the slat line where you need it located and then retieing it. There are instructions included with the blinds to assist you.

  • A. I don't think they are either. They look and feel like wood. I love mine. Really look nice in my redecorated bedroom. You will not be sorry if you get these. Order the next size up though. They come shorter (about one inch) than stated. EX: If you need a 34 order a 35. If it is in between a number order the next higher number.
