You'll love the sharp lens the high zoom ratio is equivalent to a focal length of 88-400mm in the 35mm format (when used on Canon EOS cameras compatible with EF-S lenses), and the image stabilizer effect equivalent to a shutter speed about 4 stops faster than the same size lens without Image Stabilizer. This Canon Telephoto Zoom Lens also uses a UD-glass lens element to correct chromatic aberration for excellent image quality throughout the zoom range.

A great 'kit' lens I recieved this lens as part of my Canon T2i kit. It actually takes pretty great pictures. So far, I haven't needed more telephoto than this offers, but I don't take wildlife shots (yet) either. The IS system does it's job well, and I don't have any problems with the lens focus speed either. Very clear, bright, sharp photos with this lens. I'm no professional however- so but I doubt that if you are a pro you're buying anything buy L glass anyway. 07/14/2010
Great Product, Great Price I was looking for a telephoto lens that didn't require a tripod, but I wanted to be able to take great pictures of the kids at their football and baseball games when they were on the other side of the field. This lens has helped me to do just that without the use of a tripod. It's exactly what I wanted and Wal Mart even beat Best Buy by 70 bucks on the price! 07/13/2010
