After searching online for months & reading reviews I decided to buy the Canon camera because the reviews was so high but when I got it I was actually disappointed. This is my first camera to own. I am not a photographer & just wanted a simple point & shoot camera using the automated settings. This camera automated settings is terrible. Most shots it can't focus properly & shooting indoor is terrible. Outdoor is a lot better but still had issues with the auto-focus. The 35x zoom is nice but still loses focus. I have already taken over 150 photo's & 5 videos but some pictures got really messed up like you could see the top part of the picture & then below it was a solid gray box & I still don't know what that is. Some pictures did turn out really great but I have too many that didn't. The battery does last a long time and I have only charged it 1 time. Video is ok but could be better. While recording & zooming in takes longer for the auto focus to work and sometimes it can't focus. When I try and use the manual focus it too would not focus like it is suppose to do. So I am not impressed at all with the automated settings but I will try & use more of the manual settings but need to learn how to use it them all. I have 15 days to try it out before I decide to keep it but so far I am thinking about returning it. 06/14/2011
