Rated 4.6 out of 5★ by 5reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5★ by made no assumptions like all books in the dummies series this one made no assumptions of any previous knowledge. it explained every step along the way and because of it I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to can for their very first time.my first canning session I was a bit timid but with the knowledge I gained from the book I made it through it. then just a couple of days later I decided to can even more and felt like I was a pro at it. 06/27/2010
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Great book to refresh and get other methods I liked the book, I do hot water canning only and it gave me the directions and info on other ways of canning and drying and freezing. I would recommend 04/09/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Excellent for first timer I'm 64 and never have canned before. After reading this book, making a list of tools and supplies I'll need, I'm looking forward to this season with confidence. Everything is written in an easy to understand format with all warnings and tips included where they are needed. Excellent product for the novice as well as a refresher for the experienced. 02/14/2012
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Pretty Good I live alone and am trying to learn about canning and preserving. The book is authored by two veterans and they combine some plain, explicit direction to what to do to achieve success. I find that the redundancy of some of the information is tiresome and has led to confusion on my part, but over all, the book has helped a great deal. 09/03/2014
