Customer Product Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5★ by 1reviewer.
Rated 5 out of 5★ by Too Delicious for Words! I never thought I would go on-line to write a review of soup, but in this case, I wanted everyone to know how good is this new flavour from Campbell's Chunky Soups line.I eat soup pretty much seven days per week. Of course I like homemade soup best, but these days I do not cook as much as I once did, so I rely on tinned soups. This soup is my new favourite. It is so delicious!!! The name says it all. It has the most wonderful quesadilla (cheese) flavour. It has wonderful pinto beans, corn, and a little bit of chicken. (I have yet to see a tinned soup that had more than a smattering of meat in it.)I find that a tin of soup alone is not very filling, so I always add cooked rice, and sometimes sautĂ©ed mushrooms, to tinned soups in order to make them a more filling meal. I keep a big pot of cooked converted rice on hand in the fridge at all times. I cook three cups of the rice with two packets of Lipton Beefy Onion Soup Mix at a time. Rice made with mixes or with a prepared stock (vegetable, chicken, beef, etc.) are so much more tasty than plain white rice). I separately heat the flavour soup I want to eat, and I spoon the soup over the warm rice. It makes a fantastic, hearty meal. I eat this around 11:00 a.m. to noon. Two bowls of this is all the food I will eat in one day, but it keeps me going the rest of the day, so it is a very economical yet tasty way for me to budget my food dollars, too.I do not purchase meat directly as I try to eat as close to a vegetarian diet as possible, but if you do eat meat, of course you could cook chicken (broiled, baked, or grilled), dice it up, and add it to this soup to make it more hearty. (If you purchase meat, I hope you will purchase free range meat and not factory farmed animals.) Either with added rice and/or chicken or alone, this is a most delicious tinned soup!! I would not hesitate to serve it to luncheon or supper guests, either. It is tasty enough to convince someone that it is homemade, especially if you add a little rice to it.Thank you Campbells for this spectacular new flavour. It is now my favourite, and I eat it at least three times per week!! : ) 03/15/2014
