This is a great portable, go anywhere camp fire. Because i live in Minnesota i do not have time for the firewood to dry out, wait for the fire to get going and get blasted by mosquitos just when the coals get ready to have a decent fire. Also with the firewood laws and not being able to bring wood with camping this saves time, money and there is no hassel with the portable case its up and running in minutes. We can still have smores, marshmallows ect for family fun and we do not smell like smoke. There is no popping of the fire so clothes and lawn chairs are not burnt up with holes in them. If there was a complaint to be had i would say that the slight whistling of the propane tank could be annoying to some people. Overall i am glad i purchased this and hope for many years of use and family fun!!

Great Value

I've only gotten to use it once so far ...I needed it for Saturday night to surprise my guests and it arrived on Thursday just like they said. Very easy to set up works great...looks just like a real wood fire...nice realistic flames and threw off some good heat for where we wanna use it on our patio...can't wait to get the neighbors together and use it again...best thing...NO SMOKE IN ANYONES FACE! The only thing I wish like other posts commented is I wish it had a bit longer hose to the gas tank...I'd really prefer it was sitting back further from the fire. Can't wait to take it camping too...those rainy days won't be a problem anymore !!

I purchased this because Arizona National Forests are under Stage II Fire Restrictions. The portable/propane campfire was easy to assemble and provides a very realistic campfire experience. One 5 gallon tank of propane will last about 6 or 7 days of nightly use. (We also used the same tank for some cooking)

Great campfire when there are Wildfire Restriction

This ring was kind of small, but it was perfect for the cooler summer days during summer where the little heat felt good. Excellent product for a good price. Has cute trees that go all the way around the ring. Comes with everything you need: Hose, Regulator, Rocks, and fire ring.

Excellent little fire pit

I purchased this unit for $40 less than at other stores.

Pros: Cost, and you can use it in fire restrictions. It has a off switch and runs on propane. The kids and I roasted marshmallows over it with no issues. We were the only ones in the camp ground with a camp fire since stage II restrictions. &lt;---- Only devices with a off switch and using propane are allowed. You can get a adapter and use 1lb propane bottles with it rather than lugging around a 20lb tank. I got about 2.5 hours off a 1lb tank on the low setting. I love this product! It puts out a lot of heat, is safe, portable and can be turned off quickly!

Cons: On the high setting this thing sucks propane! But man does it put out a high flame!

Just a FYI, read the instructions about how to use the product and you wont have any issues. If you do open your gas valve to fast the safety regulator kicks in and greatly reduces the gas flow. OPEN THE VALVE ON YOUR PROPANE TANK SLOWLY!

Great fire ring!

Got over the "not real campfire" stigma right away - yes it hisses a little and the rocks don't look like logs but it gives atmosphere, quite a bit of heat and we can use it in many circumstances where a wood fire is not possible (wind, restrictions etc.) We have a VW camper so it needed to be small but it's big enough to be effective!

Just what we needed

Great portable fire pit for the price. Packs up nicely into carry bag and everyone has campfire envy when there are fire bans! Good quality and not flimsy.

This fire pit is no comparison to a real camp fire, but if you are going to obey the fire restrictions, this is a decent option. It does not give off a great deal of heat to the people sitting around it. We were able to roast marshmallows and enjoyed the look of the fire. I am not sure that the fuel will last as long as they say at full flow, but it does produce about a one foot flame. I am satisfied with the purchase.

We have used our campfire pit multiple times.  It is a great campfire with no smoke, we have used it for warmth outdoors during cool weather, and have used it to roast hot dogs.  It turns the hot dogs black with soot - we wiped them off to eat and will not to that again.  It is easy to light and adjust the flame and NO SMOKE!  Don't camp without it!

Great Portable Campfire Pit (No smoke)

Kept the group warm and provided great ambience. Great alternative when you can't have a wood fire. So easy to pack and store. Love the fact that you don't have to wait for the fire to die out before heading to bed. Cooked the marshmallows perfectly.

Piece of junk. The campfire pit had a broken part as soon as we opened the box. Won't ever buy again or recommend to anyone.
