Excellent knife, but it'll put the "screws" to you

I have had this knife for almost two years. I believe I spent about $42-43. I purchased it for hunting purposes, specifically for field dressing deer, because I needed a blade that was going to hold its edge through the process. This knife does an EXCELLENT job at holding its edge. In two years I have field dressed 7 deer, cut rope, plastic, fiberglass, vegetables, garden hose, cardboard, paper, landscape cloth (and sod), wood, and the list goes on. I use it on my job as a semi truck driver as a tool for working on some of the electrical equipment, tie-downs, and other odds and ends. I use it every day. Pros: * Keeps its edge. I field dressed two deer, back-to-back, without having to stop and re-sharpen. The blade was still sharp for several weeks afterward. I have never had a knife that stayed sharp as long as this. * Grit and grime does not stay trapped in the handle because of the "flow-thru" design. * "Flow-thru" design allows for quick drying of blade when it is wet, inhibiting rust. * Thick blade is strong and will not break when the knife is used for prying applications. * Pommel is welded together, heavy and strong, and can take a beating. I assume it would have no problem breaking auto glass. * Clip is sturdy and tight, keeping the knife in one place inside my pocket. It never falls out or slides around in my pocket. Cons: * The blade is a little wide... not the most ergonomic, but this is not a terrible flaw. * The locking mechanism sometimes unlocks. Yikes! be careful, and this won't happen. * The thumb opener is not easy to use. I usually don't even bother. * The screws... * The screws that hold the knife together are Torx screws. They are tiny. You will need to purchase a set of drivers that will fit, because the screws will loosen over time. * The screws will strip. I am not sure if the problem is the screws or the frame, but something is made of soft metal, and while being careful, I have still managed to strip out 2 of the 10 screws that hold the knife together. Overall, I really love the knife. My only real concern is that the screws will not hold the thing together over the long haul. But considering I have had the knife as a daily beater for over two years, "long haul" is a relative phrase. My guess is that I will get about 3 years out of it before attempting to repair it. Not bad for a $40 folder.
