    Camco Water Filter 2-Pack
    7/6/2010

    Customer review by Gyro1949

    4.0 stars by Gyro1949

I've long been buying the single Camco water filters for our full-time RV life. They do help keep the water inside our RV drinkable and usable for cleaning. Then I saw the 2-Pack, and noted that they were far cheaper than twice the single pack price, and didn't add the mostly unnecessary bendable hose extension that you get with the single. Whenever I see these in a store, I'll pick up a package. Now that I've tried Site-To-Store, I'm certain these packages will be the only ones we'll need to be buying from now on. "Gyro1949"

After buying the one with the connection hoses, this is less waste, I just use the original hoses. Thanks!

    • A. I use my filters for a season and then replace it. I use the trailer daily as I am the park host at a local lake so a lot of water is used compared to the normal seasonal camper.

    • A. I use water in my RV only for cooking and drinking. It seems to work well to use one filter for the spring-summer season, and change for the fall-winter season.

    • A. Inline with a potable water hose to the RV water connector. Don't forget to install an inline pressure regulator from the water source to the hose, and then the hose to the filter; with a special flexible short hose(sold with some filter packages) between the filter and the RV. It's also recommended to 'flush' water thru the filter for a minute before first time use. Happy RVing!

    • A. Place an RV preasure regulator on the faucet and then twist the filter on the regulator. Apply the RV water hose (white is best) to the filter run the water to clear any debree from the hose and clean the charcoal from the filter. Now apply the hose to the trailer input.

    • A. I hook mine up right after our water pressure regulator. I then run the hose to another "House Filter" attached to the outside of our RV. That feeds the RV's "City Water" inlet. I change the Camco filters every few months, as per directed.
