The price for this item, including regular shipping which only took 2 days! to get to my house beat both my local camping store and Camping world by about $10.00 and other on line places by more than that when you add in their shipping and handling charges. They work great. we can keep the vents opened in the summer to allow some of that heat out when were not there. It lowers the inside temp by at least 10 degrees and that means we can cool it down faster when we visit on weekends. Do like I did. Shop around. Check your camping/RV store. check Camping world. Then come back and get it from Wallmart at the best price. Also. I bought 2 and they were packed very well in seperate boxes.

I had put one on my old trailer and when I bought our new 5th wheel I made sure to buy two to put on. Installation is easy and it is nice to leave the vent open. Only down side is you are limited on how open the vent can be and I would love it if Walmart had carried the gray version (less light coming in). Side Note: I hope Walmart will continue to improve their RV selections for us weekend RV'rs.

what comes with the camco rv vent covers? Any of the screws or tape etc

    • A. Screws come with it but no gasket/caulking. The type of caulking will depend on the composition of your roof.

    • A. All the brackets and screws required for installation are included. No tape is necessary because the cover brackets mount to the vent frame. No holes are drilled in the roof.

    • A. The vent cover comes with four L brackets, bolts, nuts and washers. You do not need any sealing tape as the vent mounts slightly above the camper roof (does not touch the roof). The L brackets are attached to the sides of your roof vent (you will need to drill 4 holes in the metal sides of your vent). The Camco vent cover has two screws that will remove the rear grill to allow you to clean your vent cover without removing the Camco Cover.

    • A. I put one over my Nash's bathroom vent which has a fan. It is just the same size as a non-powered vent so no problem with the fit but as I noted in my review I'm guessing the fan's exhaust will be cut quite a bit by the cover.

    • A. Turn it around before to go camping. You want the air to flow over the vent cover.Facing the front it will catch air and the wind will pull it off causing damage to you vent and roof. Hope you cange it before you go down the road?

    • A. No, the vent grill needs to be facing to the rear of the vehicle. The forward movement of the rv creates air flow that helps ventilate the interior of unwanted humidity and heat. This position puts the "slope" to the front for the aero-dynamic effect.

    • A. The vent is desiged to have the grill facing towards the REAR of the camper. This allows the vent to be open when driving and will keep rain from getting into your RV.

    • A. No, it will catch the wind on the road, and might pull off at speed. Also, the original vent lid might not open fully because of having the sloped part of the cover towards the back, above it. However, it is very easy to change around with the provided brackets.
