Not very well, were the "B button is located the little finger is used instead of the index finger for a right handed person.

The ball holes aren't angled for a lefty.

can this work for a person who is left handed?

An accessory remote. It also fits the Motion plus for Wii Sport Resort.

Just an accessory. You use it with an already purchased bowling game such as wii sports resort.

It does not come with it's own game, but is compatible with any Wii bowling game on the market.

I am wondering if this ball is just an accessory remote or does it come with a game too?

It took me a couple of minutes to get this set up. If it's snapped together too tightly it puts pressure on the buttons and can cause your controls to go bonkers but with a little adjustment I got it working. Then it took me a couple of tries to figure out the button holding part and the right way to position the ball. Finally, I had to overcome the urge to LET THE BALL GO! It feels so real that your natural instinct is to let it fly but even if that happens, it's securely strapped to your wrist (it better be!). Once I got all that worked out (about 15 mins of trial and error) I had a blast bowling for about an hour until my hand started cramping up on me. It's very realistic! I went to order another one and they were out of stock. I looked other places but they're going for 25-30 bucks everywhere else. Happy to see they're back in stock today so I'm ordering one for my sister for Christmas. Lots of fun!

Just like bowling at the alley!

I have 3 kids and they love this. I think it would be better for older kids as it is a good size bowling ball and the wrist strap MUST be worn all the time. My youngest really enjoys this and since it was his 'purchase" he is very happy with it:)

fun to use

This is a good accessory to play Wii bowling. With just the remote, there's a tendency to twist the arm and hand that may affect playing the real game. The bowling ball has holes for fingers like the real thing, and it has extra cushion tips for comfort which is a plus for me. The only thing I'm not too happy with is that I have to press and hold the B button with my index finger and release it when I let go off the ball. I wish there's nothing to press just like the regular bowling ball. Other than that I recommend it.

i bought my future inlaws the wii bowling ball for Christmas 09 they loved it so much that i am buying 1 for myself and another latter on for neice's birthday i just hope she likes it as much as my inlaws do!!!

I would have to say that it is a good product. Once you get the regular remote correctly inside the bowling ball, it is much easier to use, than using the regular remote for bowling. The kids love using it, gives them the feel, more like a real bowling alley!

Good Overall

This product is a great addition to any of the bowling games for the Wii. It makes the games seem even more realistic! My family really enjoys using it, the only problem is that we only have one and we have to fight over who gets to use it... We definitely would recommend it to anybody looking for a fun addition to their Wii accessories. The ball is very well made, and the strap is strong and secure. My only gripe is that it is difficult to get it open and closed by yourself because of the location of the two buttons used to release both halves of the ball. However, this is a small gripe considering the fun that it provides!

the ball is optional.. but if you want the real feel just like you are there at the bowling lanes ..without all the cost this is it.. this is also without the nosie of the extra lanes of people with there kids..

The strap broke the first night we used the ball. The slots are to big and the inserts don't fit well, it made the ball harder to use for little hands. My husband loves the ball as he is the only one with hands that fit, so he scores high.

The product is only for a right handed person, so if you are left handed the product is not for you. My sister is left handed and were the "B" button is located you have little control.
