Rated 5 out of 5★ by hickinthestick nice scope real good scope, i put it on the ruger american 308 and it is great. clear picture easy to adjust no need to dig out coins to adjust reticles. really like the red/green illumination comes in handy when in the shadows or low light and depending on the back ground really make the cross-hairs stand out 10/19/2012
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Yura1968 Plenty of nice features, but lacking precision I bought this scope about two years ago for my 30-06 Savage Axis XP. At first I loved this product, its easy elevation and windage setting, great magnification, red and green lighted DOB reticle, the fast focus eye piece, great general appearance and external coating, etc. Great features really. For the first two or three trips to the range (a little more than an hour away from where I live), it worked great at 50 yards (pretty much everything works well at that distance). After that, it is another story. At 100 yrds, the first shot was always about a foot away from the target (after laser-bore zeroing the scope). I would then shoot another 4 or 5 rounds which seemed to be getting closer to the target, but it would be impossible to fix it. I would adjust the scope thinking it was not aimed correctly while the shots would go anywhere. I started to troubleshoot everything in my rifle, thinking that it couldn't be the scope since it was relatively new. I changed the mountings three times, the final ones having 6 screws each to hold the scope as tight as possible (tactical type). I also did a study with my cartridge loads, trying to find out if that was the cause of the problem (165 gr / 53 gr, 50 gr, 47 gr, etc.) Sometimes I would get groups within 1.5" at 100 yrds, then suddenly they would start going all over the place. I even thought that maybe the barrel's frequency was off (maybe poor quality, too light?). The last time I went to the range I was having a great grouping for the first half hour, then the reticle seemed to be tilted. At first I thought it was my sight or something. But as I continued to shoot, the reticle continued to tilt even more while the shots were going farther from the target. After checking the scope external mounting (which was hold in place as it should), I simply gave up. I went home, disassembled the scope, put the original 3-9x40 scope back on the rifle and sent this one back to Bushnell. Even though Bushnell has a lifetime warranty for their scopes, the amount of trips and frustration I have had almost since I bought this scope is just ridiculous (not to mention the last drop that I have to pay the shipping both ways, about $20). If I have known what I know now about my rifle, mounts, cartridge loads and scope, I would never think twice in paying an extra $40 or $50 for a Nikon scope, or something better, with plenty of history and reviews available. The pain and frustration this scope have given me is not worth it. I don't recommend this scope at all. I would have preferred that this scope would have broken in half from the beginning compared to having to worry about what else could possibly be wrong and not being able to find the root cause. 11/12/2013
