Excellent Multifunction device This is the best printer I own. I have an HP (which I'm dumping) and a Xerox - both inkjets.This unit knocks the socks off both for quality, ease of and economy. The ink is available from several sources far less expensive than either of the other two! And you only have to replace one ink at a time. 11/19/2011
This Lil' Brother Exceeds Expectations We needed a multi-fuction for home school tasks. School work is often faxed back to a virtual academy. My old machine was a nightmare (no modem found error). Brother just dials quickly from either the screen or actual device. The paper is extremely easy to load. Slide tray forward, put in a 50 or so more sheets slide it back in; no slots to figure it. My 8 year old can load this machine & remove paper jams. The onscreen guide tells you exactly what to do step by step if it ever malfunctions. For the pro printing people out there, you'll find all the settings your heart desires. Scanning normally scares me but I downloaded free NitroPDF and we are zipping through paperwork. I cannot atest to the photo quality as we don't do any of that for school. The MFC is my second from Brother. I don't think you can get a better deal. I'm loving my lil' guy. He's already saved me a ton in stamps & time through faxing.Pros: Just about everything!Comes with software + Downloads available from Brother website for all their products.Ease of UsePriceCons: Heavy (as expected)No USB cord included (already had 1) 08/12/2011
Printer malfunctioned, had to be returned. The Brother MMFC-J220 Inkjet Printer malfunctioned with a "paper jam" error message (on first print) that I was unable to reset, so I returned the printer. I spent over a hour trying to clear the error message per instructions, gave up and took it back. Don't know if I got a lemon, or if all of these models have the same problems. I did buy a different Brother printer MFC-J615W from a different store. So far so good. 08/02/2011
printer was a waste of money, the printer does not read the black ink, from day one, I though it was a bad ink and waste my money buying other black ink (3 black ink wasted) and still dont read the black ink, and now the printer leaks the ink... don't waste your money 01/14/2012
