first time laser printer buyer! I always wanted a laser printer but in the past they've been soooo expensive. I upgraded from an inkjet (so desperately needed). Ive only had this brother laser printer for about a month and absolutely love it! It's compact, easy to install, and a great buy! It came ready to go with ink cartridge included ( unlike the comparable dell). I've used a brother laser printer at work so I was familiar with the brand. It works just as good as a dell but with less overhead. The ink cartridge isn't expensive to replace. Actually only a few bucks more than an inkjet cartridge and lasts forever. It's perfect for home office use, for children to use, and its fast. I'm not sure how it would hold up for home based business use but for my everyday needs its absolutely perfect!!! 03/04/2012
I have used HP printers for years and my HP laser jet started acting up. My British friend recommended a Brother. I saw the printer on sale in Wal*Mart. com and it had a better price that Office Depot or Best Buy so I purchased it and It does an excellent job. Makes a little more noise that HP but that is ok. 02/02/2012
Great machine for the price. Wished that the toner was sold in the store instead of having to order on line. I'm still learning on the 2 sided copies, when you print out a program (landscape), and fold it the copy on each side of the page printed the opposite way. So for that project I have to print one side and manually lay the paper back in the machine to print the other side. Probably should of included a detailed book in package. Otherwise it's super! 04/21/2012
