The Brother CS6000i Sewing Machine features an LCD screen with four +/- buttons for stitch selection and stitch settings. With 60 different stitch functions, you can stitch garments in any style of sewing. Some of the stitch functions include button holes, zigzags, decorative stitches, heirloom, and utility stitches. The speed control slider helps you control the speed at which the machine sews. This 110 volt computerized sewing machine can be operated either with a foot pedal or the one-touch button. The automatic needle threading feature consists of a spring type hook and lever operation, which helps you insert the thread to the eye of the needle with ease. This electronic sewing machine uses needles in size ranging from 9-16. This sewing machine can sew 850 stitches per minute. Adjust the speed with which you stitch using the electronic speed adjustment feature. You can easily carry this lightweight sewing machine.

Brother 60-Stitch Computerized Sewing Machine, CS-6000i 745 847
Great Machine This is a great and easy machine to use. If you are afraid of this type of sewing machine, because it is computerized, dont be. Real user friendly. the decorative stitches are beautiful and for most of them you dont need to change the needle. The stitch speed regulator is also a great feature as my daughter ( she is 20 )wants to learn how to sew and you can make this machine go "snail" slow. Or super fast depending on your experience. Love this machine!! I love the extra long, extra wide sewing arm extension.....great for quilting, and large pattern pieces. I could go on and on ......but I wont. I LOVE this sewing machine. It's the second one I own. It's so light and very easy to use. I love all the feet it comes with and all the great designs. I'd DEFINTLY recommend this machine to anyone. It would be great for a begiiner because its easy to use..... 06/22/2008

Spend A Little More - It's Worth It If you are choosing between a lower priced Brother or Singer, skip the Singer altogether and look at Brother. The higher-priced Brothers are worth the money when it comes to mid-level sewing machines, and are capable of doing crazy quilting, crafts, and regular sewing. The only thing is the needle threader, which will probably break after a few uses - just use a regular needle threader and save yourself some hassle.The worklight is extra bright!Be aware that most of the machine is plastic as they don't make many metal parts anymore, but the needles are easy to find for replacement, the bobbins hold more thread than the standard, and the speed is adjustable. The "extras" included are worth it, too. 06/18/2008
